Single‐cell RNA sequencing reveals localized tumour ablation and intratumoural immunostimulant delivery potentiate T cell mediated tumour killing
Ashley R. Hoover,Kaili Liu,Christa I. DeVette,Jason R. Krawic,Alexandra D. Medcalf,Connor L. West,Tomas Hode,Samuel S.K. Lam,Alana L. Welm,Xiaohui Sun,William H. Hildebrand,Wei R. Chen +11 more
TL;DR: The results reveal that LAIT prompts immunological remodelling of T cells by inducing broad proinflammatory responses and inhibiting suppressive signalling to drive antitumour immunity.

Antigen presentation and interferon signatures in B cells driven by localized ablative cancer immunotherapy correlate with extended survival
Kaili Liu,Ashley R. Hoover,Jason R. Krawic,Christa I. DeVette,Xiaohui Sun,William H. Hildebrand,Mark L. Lang,Robert L. Axtell,Wei Chen +8 more
TL;DR: The findings show that the combination of local ablation and local application of immunostimulant initiates the activation of interferon signatures and antigen-presentation in B cells which is associated with positive clinical outcomes for breast cancer.

Correlation between circulating innate lymphoid cell precursors and thymic function
Sandra Bajana,Aneta Pankow,Kaili Liu,Martyna Michniowska,Joseph F. Urban,Wei Chen,Xiaohui Sun +6 more
TL;DR: The abundance of Lin-CD127+CD62L+icCD3ε+ precursors varies with age, peaking at 2-3 months in the wild type but not athymic nude blood as discussed by the authors .

A novel biopolymer synergizes type I IFN and IL-1β production through STING
Ashley R. Hoover,Kaili Liu,Samuel Siu Kit Lam,Chun Fung Wong,Alexandra D. Medcalf,Xiaohui Sun,Tomas Hode,Luciano Alleruzzo,Coline Furrer,Trisha I. Valerio,Wei R. Chen +10 more
TL;DR: GC’s unique ability to activate STING and stimulate a broad type I IFN response which holds therapeutic promise in generating antitumor and antiviral immunities is demonstrated.

Serotonin suppresses lung ILC2 activation and proliferation
TL;DR: A cohort of patients with different severities of depression were used and found augmented production of IL-5 and IL-13 by their peripheral blood mononuclear cells upon in vitro stimulation relative to that of corresponding cells from healthy controls and an inverse correlation between serotonin levels and ILC2 activities was revealed.
