Efficient separation of functional xylooligosaccharide, cellulose and lignin from poplar via thermal acetic acid/sodium acetate hydrolysis and subsequent kraft pulping
TL;DR: In this article, thermal acetic acid/sodium acetate hydrolysis on poplar wood chips was carried out to obtain functional xylooligosaccharide, then the hydrolyzed wood chips were subjected to kraft pulping (KP) to fractionate cellulose and lignin.

Poly(ether ether ketone) Conferred Polyolefin Separators with High Dimensional Thermal Stability for Lithium-Ion Batteries.
Yu-Hang Liu,Zijian Zhang,Xinwei Du,Yuliang Wang,Xiaohui Guo,Meng-Xuan Yu,Baijun Liu,Wei Hu,Li Shen,Yunfeng Lu,Guangshan Zhu +10 more
TL;DR: Researchers developed a modified phase inversion technique to coat polyolefin separators with poly(ether ether ketone) (PEEK), enhancing thermal stability up to 200 °C and ionic conductivity by 100%, improving lithium-ion battery performance.

Improved electrochemical properties of janus composite membranes obtained by modification of PEEK/nanocellulose on polyethylene for lithium-ion batteries
Liying Wang,Yu-Hang Liu,Xinwei Du,Xiaohui Guo,Qi Zhao,Yuliang Wang,Zhangnan Li,Baijun Liu,Zhaoyan Sun,Yongfeng Men,Wei-Hua Hu +10 more
TL;DR: In this article , a composite solution of poly(ether ketone) (PEEK) and carbon nanoparticles, which was obtained by the carbonization of nanocellulose (NCC) in the sulfuric acid solution, was applied to modify the PE separator to prepare Janus composite separator (PE/PC) with high porosity.
