Multicenter, Prospective Clinical Evaluation of Respiratory Samples from Subjects at Risk for Pneumocystis jirovecii Infection by Use of a Commercial Real-Time PCR Assay
Philippe M. Hauser,Jacques Bille,Cornelia Lass-Flörl,Christian Geltner,Marta Feldmesser,Michael H. Levi,Hitesh Patel,Victoria A. Muggia,Barbara D. Alexander,Martin Hughes,Sarah A. Follett,Xiaohui Cui,Flora Leung,Gillian F. Morgan,Adrian Moody,David S. Perlin,David W. Denning +16 more
TL;DR: The PCR diagnostic assay compares well with clinical diagnosis using nonmolecular methods and additional positive results compared with the MP-DFA test may reflect low-level infection or colonization.

Bacteriophage targeting microbiota alleviates non-alcoholic fatty liver disease induced by high alcohol-producing Klebsiella pneumoniae
Lin Gan,Yanling Feng,Bing Du,Hanyu Fu,Ziyan Tian,G. Xue,Chao Yan,Xiaohui Cui,Rui Zhang,Jinghua Cui,Hanqing Zhao,Junxia Feng,Zhiying Xu,Zheng Fan,Tongtong Fu,Shuheng Du,Shiyu Liu,Qun Zhang,Zihui Yu,Ying Sun,Jing Yuan +20 more
TL;DR: In this article , the effectiveness of phage therapy in male mice with HiAlc Kpn-induced steatohepatitis was investigated, including hepatic dysfunction and expression of cytokines and lipogenic genes.
Development of a Loop-Mediated Isothermal Amplification Method for Rapid and Visual Detection of Monkeypox Virus
Junxia Feng,G. Xue,Xiaohui Cui,B. Du,Yanling Feng,Jinghua Cui,Hanqing Zhao,Lin Gan,Zheng Fan,Tongtong Fu,Zi-gang Xu,Shuheng Du,Yao Zhou,Rui Zhang,Hanyu Fu,Ziyan Tian,Qun Zhang,Chao Yan,Jing Yuan +18 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) was used for the specific detection of MPXV and evaluated its application in simulated clinical samples, and the detection limits of the LAMP assay using primer sets A27L 1 and F3L 1 were both 20 copies/reaction mixture, which were >100-fold higher in terms of sensitivity compared with conventional PCR.

Bacteriophage Effectively Rescues Pneumonia Caused by Prevalent Multidrug-Resistant Klebsiella pneumoniae in the Early Stage
Lin Gan,Hanyu Fu,Ziyan Tian,Jinghua Cui,Chao Yan,G. Xue,Zheng Fan,B. Du,Junxia Feng,Hanqing Zhao,Yanling Feng,Zhiying Xu,Tongtong Fu,Xiaohui Cui,Rui Zhang,Shuheng Du,Shiyu Liu,Yao Zhou,Qun Zhang,Ling Cao,Jing Yuan +20 more
TL;DR: Two phages provided an effective treatment for the early stage of pneumonia in mice, and cocktails consisting of the two phages were more effective in reducing bacterial loads, inflammation, and pathogenic injuries.
