Synthesis of hollow spherical tantalum oxide nanoparticles and their photocatalytic activity for hydrogen production
TL;DR: In this article, nano-particles consisting of hollow spherical tantalum oxide (referred to as HSTaO in this work) were synthesized by using the nonionic triblock copolymer F127 as the structure-directing agent in an ethanol aqueous medium.

A Highly Stable Zeotype Mesoporous Zirconium Metal—Organic Framework with Ultralarge Pores.
Dawei Feng,Kecheng Wang,Jie Su,Tian-Fu Liu,Jihye Park,Zhangwen Wei,Mathieu Bosch,Andrey A. Yakovenko,Xiaodong Zou,Hong-Cai Zhou +9 more
TL;DR: A zeotype mesoporous zirconium metal-organic framework, [Zr6(O)4(OH)10(H2O)6 (TATB)2] was solvothermally prepared from a mixture of ZrOCl2, TATB, and TFA in N,N-diethylformamide (autoclave, 120 °C, 12 h).

Heterogeneous oxidation of cyclohexanone catalyzed by TS-1 : Combined experimental and DFT studies
Xia Changjiu,Xia Changjiu,Long Ju,Zhao Yi,Hongyi Xu,Bin Zhu,Feifei Gao,Min Lin,Zhenyu Dai,Xiaodong Zou,Xingtian Shu +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the reaction mechanism of Baeyer-Villiger oxidation catalyzed by TS-1 was investigated by combining density function theory (DFT) calculations with experimental studies, which showed that H 2 O 2 was adsorbed and activated at the tetrahedral Ti sites.

A series of inorganic–organic hybrid cadmium borates with novel Cd-centred [Cd@B14O20(OH)6]2− clusters
TL;DR: UV-Vis-NIR spectral investigation reveals that these borates are wide-band-gap semiconductors, making them excellent candidates for optoelectronic applications as blue materials.

Targeted Synthesis of Two Super-Complex Zeolites with Embedded Isoreticular Structures.
Jiho Shin,Jiho Shin,Hongyi Xu,Seungwan Seo,Peng Guo,Jung Gi Min,Jung Cho,Paul A. Wright,Xiaodong Zou,Suk Bong Hong +9 more
TL;DR: Aluminate and water concentrations in the synthetic mixture were found to be the two most critical factors influencing the structural expansion of embedded isoreticular zeolites under the synthetic conditions studied herein.
