TL;DR: In this paper, a simulation program based on the Monte Carlo simulations was developed in the first attempt to calculate the electron collection efficiency, where the backscattering electrons and secondary electrons generated on the collector surface were calculated using a Monte Carlo approach, and all electron trajectories in the collector region were tracked by the Runge-Kutta method.
