Tumor suppressor PDCD4 modulates miR-184- mediated direct suppression of C-MYC and BCL2 blocking cell growth and survival in nasopharyngeal carcinoma
Yan Zhen,Zhen Liu,Zhen Liu,Huiling Yang,Huiling Yang,Xiaoli Yu,Qiangyun Wu,Shengni Hua,Xiaobin Long,Qingping Jiang,Ye-Qiong Song,Chao Cheng,Hao Hao Wang,M Zhao,Qiaofen Fu,Xiaoming Lyu,Yiyu Chen,Yue-Qin Fan,Yan Liu,Xin Li,Weiyi Fang +20 more
TL;DR: These studies are the first to demonstrate that PDCD4 as tumor suppressor regulated miR-184-mediated direct targeting of BCL2 and C-MYC via PI3K/AKT and JNK/C-Jun pathway attenuating cell proliferation and survival in NPC.
Loss of cytoplasmic KLF4 expression is correlated with the progression and poor prognosis of nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
Zhen Liu,Zhen Liu,Huiling Yang,Huiling Yang,Weiren Luo,Weiren Luo,Qingping Jiang,Chunping Mai,Yan Chen,Yan Zhen,Xiaoli Yu,Xiaobin Long,Weiyi Fang +12 more
TL;DR: In nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), the correlation of Krüppel‐like factor 4 (KLF4) expression with clinicopathological features including patient prognosis is examined.

Nuclear expression of CDK4 correlates with disease progression and poor prognosis in human nasopharyngeal carcinoma
Qingping Jiang,Qingping Jiang,Chunping Mai,Huiling Yang,Qiangyun Wu,Shengni Hua,Chen Yan,Yufei Long,Yajie Zhang,Xiaobin Long,Weiyi Fang,Zhen Liu,Zhen Liu +12 more
TL;DR: The purpose of this study was to examine the correlation between nuclear expression of cyclin‐dependent kinase 4 (CDK4) and clinicopathological data in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC), including patient survival.

Proteomic features of potential tumor suppressor NESG1 in nasopharyngeal carcinoma
TL;DR: Overexpressed ENO1 not only restored cell proliferation and cell‐cycle progression, but also antagonized the regulation of NESG1 to cell‐ cycle regulators p21 and CCNA1 expression as well as induced the expression of C‐Myc, pRB, and E2F1 inNESG1‐ovexpressed NPC cells.

Nuclear p27 Expression Confers a Favorable Outcome for Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma Patients
Zhen Liu,Yufei Long,Yajie Zhang,Wei Huang,Xiaobin Long,Huiling Yang,Jie Long,Chao Cheng,Weiyi Fang +8 more
TL;DR: It is observed that nuclear expression of p27 was positively associated with survival time of NPC patients not only in N0-1 and M0 classifications but also in radiotherapy and chemotherapy treatment groups.
