Molecular regulation of sex change induced by methyltestosterone -feeding and methyltestosterone -feeding withdrawal in the protogynous orange-spotted grouper.
Qing Wang,Yun Liu,Cheng Peng,Xiang Wang,Ling Xiao,Dengdong Wang,Jiaxing Chen,Haifa Zhang,Huihong Zhao,Shuisheng Li,Yong Zhang,Haoran Lin,Haoran Lin +12 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that MT-feeding-induced sex reversal can be divided into early and late phases, and it is found that gonia-like cells in the germinal epithelium might be the major germ cell sources for developing testes during sex reversal.

An SNP-Based Genetic Map and QTL Mapping for Growth Traits in the Red-Spotted Grouper (Epinephelus akaara).
Xiang Wang,Shoujia Jiang,Leyun Zheng,Ling Xiao,Xinhui Zhang,Dengdong Wang,Shuisheng Li,Shuisheng Li,Qiong Shi,Shuiqing Wu,Haoran Lin,Xinxin You,Yong Zhang,Yong Zhang +13 more
TL;DR: A high-density genetic map was constructed using 3435 single nucleotide polymorphisms from 142 first generation (F1) full-sib offspring and two parents of a red-spotted grouper population, and 13 potential candidate genes for growth-related traits were identified.

Occurrence and distribution of lipophilic marine algal toxins in the coastal seawater of Southeast China and the South China Sea.
TL;DR: In this paper , the composition, levels, and spatial distribution of dissolved lipophilic marine algal toxins (LMATs) including cyclic imines (CIs), yessotoxins (YTXs), okadaic acid (OA) and its derivatives, pectenotoxin (PTXs), azaspiracids (AZAs), and brevetoxins(BTXs) in the coastal waters of Southeast China (Xiamen) and the South China Sea (Hainan Island and Beibu Gulf) were investigated and compared for the first time.

The complete mitochondrial genome of the Rhabdosargus sarba (Perciformes: Sparidae).
Jianzhen Li,Huirong Yang,Zhenzhen Xie,Xiankuan Yang,Ling Xiao,Xiang Wang,Shuisheng Li,Mingliang Chen,Huihong Zhao,Yong Zhang +9 more
TL;DR: The complete mitochondrial genome of the Rhabdosargus sarba was presented and the gene order and composition of R. sarba mitochondrial genome was similar to that of most other vertebrates.

NKB/NK3 system negatively regulates the reproductive axis in sexually immature goldfish (Carassius auratus)
Yali Liu,Qing Wang,Xiang Wang,Zining Meng,Yun Liu,Shuisheng Li,Shuisheng Li,Yong Zhang,Yong Zhang,Haoran Lin +9 more
TL;DR: Findings revealed that NKB/NK3 system plays a negative role in the reproductive axis of immature goldfish.
