Carbon nanotube buckypaper to improve fire retardancy of high-temperature/high-performance polymer composites
TL;DR: The as-prepared buckypaper greatly improved the fire retardancy of polyimide matrix carbon fibre composites, and yielded further delay of ignition, lower heat release rate, further reduced heat release, lower mass loss and less smoke release.

TL;DR: In this paper, two processing methods, in-plane and through-thickness resins, were proposed and tested, both methods are capable of fabricating polyi-mide matrix composites; and the carbon lami-nates yield good interfacial bonding and comparable mechanical properties to those laminatesfabricated using RTM.

Optimal Injection Design for Resin Transfer Molding with In Situ Permeability Measurement and Process Simulation
TL;DR: In this paper, an adaptive RTM injection design approach is presented in which process simulation and hardware-in-the-loop-simulation (HILS) technique are used: the whole field preform permeability profile is provided by an in situ gas-assisted permeability measurement system and then inputted to the process simulation right before each control step during molding; an open loop control method steering the resin flow is also proposed.
