Formation mechanism of δ-ferrite and metallurgy reaction in molten pool during press-hardened steel laser welding
TL;DR: In this article, the formation mechanism of δ-ferrite in welded seam (WS) was: the melting Al-Si coating diffused into molten pool such that the stabilization of high-temperature δ -ferrite was improved as well as the phase transformation was restrained by the effect of laser rapid cooling.

Directed energy deposition of CNTs/AlSi10Mg nanocomposites: Powder preparation, temperature field, forming, and properties
TL;DR: In this paper, an annular beam directed energy deposition (DED) experiment was conducted using CNTs/AlSi10Mg composites, prepared using a new procedure to improve the laser absorptivity of aluminum matrix nanocomposites.

Effect of Cu content on microstructure transformation and mechanical properties of Fe-Al dissimilar laser welded joints
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of Cu content on the microstructure transformation and mechanical properties of the micro-structure and the mechanical properties in the Fe-Al laser welded joints were discussed, and summed up in two points: a higher Cu content was in favor of generating a weld seam with a low δ-ferrite content, and the microhardness increased from 277 HV to 346 HV.

Fe-bearing intermetallics transformation and its influence on the corrosion resistance of Al–Mg–Si alloy weld joints
TL;DR: In this article, the transformation of Fe-bearing intermetallics and its influence on the corrosion behavior of Al-Mg-Si alloy weld joints was investigated, and it was shown that the size and type of the Fe-body determined the pitting corrosion resistance of weldment regions.
