Natural gas purification by asymmetric membranes: An overview
Xi Chen,Gongping Liu,Wanqin Jin +2 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors reviewed the latest development of various kinds of asymmetric membranes for natural gas purification, mainly focusing on CO2 removal from CH4, including H2S and N2 separation from CH 4 as well.

M-gallate MOF/6FDA-polyimide mixed-matrix membranes for C2H4/C2H6 separation
TL;DR: In this article, the 6FDA-DAM MMM with Ni-gallate(F) loading of 20% exhibited optimal C2H4/C2H6 separation performance that surpassed the upper bound of pure polymers.

Metal Confined in 2D Membranes for Molecular Recognition and Sieving towards Ethylene/Ethane Separation
TL;DR: In this article , a metal confined 2D sub-nanometer channel is reported to successfully discriminate ethylene over ethane via molecular recognition and sieving, and the resulting ultrathin (≈60 nm) membrane exhibits superior ethylene/ethane separation performance far beyond the polymeric upper bound.

UTSA ‐280 MOF incorporated 6FDA ‐polyimide mixed‐matrix membranes for ethylene/ethane separation
TL;DR: In this paper , two types of mixed-matrix membranes (MMMs) were evaluated for C2H4/C2H6 separation, and it was found that the optimal matching between two phases was responsible to these opposite mixedmatrix effects.

Pyrolysis temperature-regulated gas transport and aging properties in 6FDA-DAM polyimide-derived carbon molecular sieve membranes
TL;DR: In this article , the pore structure of carbon molecular sieve (CMS) membranes is characterized using SEM, IR, XPS and XRD to obtain the morphology, chemical composition and pore size of the membranes.
