In the current study, the passive strategies in traditional houses of Shiraz were investigated and the correlation between PMV/PPD model and environmental parameters has been evaluated to predict thermal comfort in traditional houses. In this study, first, a traditional house as a case study was selected and the thermal comfort conditions of the Talar room were analysed with the PMV/PPD model by DesignBuilder software. Results revealed that PMV of the Talar room in May, June, September and October were in the range of −1 to 1 which shows that the thermal comfort condition has been convenient. Additionally, PMV possessed the highest correlation coefficients with Ta (r = 0.84), Tr (r = 0.84), Top (r = 0.84), Tout (r = 0.82) and lowest correlation coefficients with RH (r = 0.69). It has been discovered that PMV is more similar to PPD (r = 0.95). 

Prediction Indoor Thermal Comfort in Traditional Houses of Shiraz with PMV/PPD model

Study of Relativistic excitation energies and transition data of X–ray and EUV transitions in Be-like ions

The resonance 3C ([(2p5)1/23d3/2]J=1 → [2p6]J=0) to intercombination 3D ([(2p5)3/23d5/2]J=1 → [2p6]J=0) line intensity ratio of neonlike ions has been studied. The measured line intensity ratio for neonlike Xe44+ ions shows an apparent change, which is reproduced by the calculations using the relativistic configuration interaction plus many-body perturbation theory. It is clearly elucidated that the change in the 3C/3D line intensity ratio is caused by strong configuration mixing between the upper levels of the 3D and 3F ([(2p5)1/23s]J=1 → [2p6]J=0) lines. The present measurement allows us to discuss the 3C/3D line intensity ratio for the highest-Z ions hitherto, which suggests that the experiment-theory discrepancy in the 3C/3D line intensity ratio of neonlike ions diminishes with increasing atomic number Z and further trends to vanish at higher-Z ions. Furthermore, the present study provides benefits to better understand configuration mixing effect in the radiative opacity of hot plasmas.

Apparent change of the 3C/3D line intensity ratio in neonlike ions.

Les proprietes radiatives sont d'une importance cruciale lors de l'etude des plasmas astrophysiques et de fusion, particulierement dans des conditions hors equilibre thermodynamique local (hors-ETL). C'est pourquoi nous avons developpe un modele collisionnel-radiatif, capable de calculer les proprietes radiatives en toutes conditions de temperature et de densite. Nous avons integre a ce modele de nouveaux facteurs de Gaunt developpes par nous-memes. Ces facteurs permettent d'obtenir des sections efficaces des processus atomiques plus precis que les formules classiques et semi-empiriques, necessaires au calcul des populations atomiques. Ils ont ete obtenus en utilisant des methodes sophistiquees, telles que les methodes distorted-wave et generelized-line-strength, a l'aide du code FAC. Dans le but de valider nos resultats, nous les avons compares dans un premier temps, aux calculs de Hill et Rose d'un plasma compose d'un melange de carbone et de 5% de silicium, dans des conditions ETL et hors-ETL. Les resultats sont tres satisfaisants, aussi bien a l'ETL qu'hors-ETL. Nous avons aussi compare nos resultats a la transmission mesuree par Xiong et al. d'un plasma de silicium a Te = 72 eV et Ne = 1.3 x 10²¹ cm⁻³. La encore, nous obtenons un bon accord. Cependant, on constate la presence de quelques ecarts au niveau du decalage spectral de certaines raies, ainsi que l'absence de certaines transitions. Cette absence peut s'expliquer par certaines configurations electroniques manquantes dans le calcul de structure atomique. Nous nous sommes aussi interesses a l'absorption d'un melange de carbone et de 5% de germanium avec un nombre restreint de configurations electroniques. Nous avons explore l'effet d'interaction de configurations ainsi que l'effet d'un champ radiatif. Nous avons egalement deduit des lois permettant de calculer rapidement les lois de Planck et de Rosseland. Ces lois concernent pour le moment le carbone, le silicium et le germanium, pour Te entre 250 et 350 eV et Ne entre 2 et 8 x 10²³ cm⁻³.

Calcul de structures atomiques et des propriétés radiatives des plasmas de fusion

We present a systematic theoretical study on the angular distribution and linear polarization of x-ray line emissions of neon-like ions following the electron-impact excitation from the ground state to the excited levels [(2p5)1/23d3/2]J=1, [(2p5)3/23d5/2]J=1, [(2p5)3/23d3/2]J=1, and [(2p5)1/23s]J=1. The cross sections are calculated by using the flexible atomic code under configuration-interaction plus many-body perturbation theory method. The angular distribution and linear polarization are obtained based on density matrix theory. Emphasis has been placed on the effect of the configuration mixing on the angular distribution and polarization. It has been proved that the strong mixing of configuration [(2p5)3/23d3/2]J=1 with configuration [(2p5)1/23s]J=1 can result in the abrupt change of Z-dependence of angular distribution and polarization. It indicates that angular distribution and polarization can be expected to serve as a tool for investigation of configuration mixing effect.

Effect of the configuration mixing on the polarization and angular distribution of x-ray line emissions following electron-impact excitation of Ne-like ions

Strong configuration interactions are observed in Be-like ions between 1s(1)2s(2)nl(1) and 1s(1)2p(2)nl(1). Such configuration interactions not only make a remarkable and systematic difference to the k-shell transition from 1s(1)2p(2)nl(1) to 1s(2)2p(1)nl(1), but they also change the order of the spectral positions between the transitions 1s(1)2p(2)nl(1) - 1s(2)2p(1)nl(1) and 1s(1)2s(1)2p(1)nl(1) - 1s(2)2s(1)nl(1). Including or not including the configuration interaction of 1s(1)2s(2)nl(1) can result in an energy difference of about 6 eV for the 1s(1)2p(2)nl(1) - 1s(2)2p(1)nl(1) transitions of Be-like aluminum. This phenomenon reveals the physical reason behind the existence of differences between the experimental transmission and the theoretical transmission for aluminum plasma in the paper by Zhang et al (2009 Phys. Rev. E 79 016401). For two configurations (KLMf)-L-i-M-j... and (KLMf'')-L-i'-M-j'..., the strongest configuration interactions may appear when the number of electrons in each shell is the same and the parity for each shell is the same.
