TL;DR: Synthetic TRF (pyroglutamylhistidyl-proline amide) was infused into the anterior pituitary of 10 rats by way of a cannulated hypophysial stalk portal vessel or into a femoral vein, and the plasma concentration of TSH was significantly greater than the pre-infusion level.
