Tissue-specific Cu bioaccumulation patterns and differences in sensitivity to waterborne Cu in three freshwater fish: rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss), common carp (Cyprinus carpio), and gibel carp (Carassius auratus gibelio).
TL;DR: A clear difference in metal handling was apparent, with high liver residues and liver accumulation rates for the most sensitive species, the rainbow trout, and lower liver but higher kidney residues and kidney accumulation rates in the most resistant species,The gibel carp.

The evaluation of passive integrated transponder (PIT) tags and visible implant elastomer (VIE) marks as new marking techniques for the bullhead
TL;DR: The relatively high recapture rates suggest the applicability of both PIT tags and VIE marks as new marking techniques for this small benthic fish species.

Sublethal copper exposure induces respiratory stress in common and gibel carp but not in rainbow trout
TL;DR: Fast and pronounced decreases in plasma sodium and chloride developed for all three species, independent of the observed gill damage, supporting the hypothesis that sodium turnover is a key factor in predicting Cu toxicity.

TL;DR: Less drastic temperature regimes as previously reported in combination with hormone treatments seem sufficient to induce maturation in L. lota after isothermal grow-out, indicated by advanced gonadal stages, higher numbers of oocytes undergoing germinal vesicle breakdown in vitro and elevated sex steroid levels.
