Combination of snapshot hyperspectral retinal imaging and optical coherence tomography to identify Alzheimer's disease patients.
Sophie Lemmens,Sophie Lemmens,Toon Van Craenendonck,Jan Van Eijgen,Jan Van Eijgen,Lies De Groef,Rose Bruffaerts,Danilo Andrade De Jesus,Wouter Charle,Murali Jayapala,Gordana Sunaric-Mégevand,Arnout Standaert,Jan Theunis,Karel Van Keer,Mathieu Vandenbulcke,Lieve Moons,Rik Vandenberghe,Rik Vandenberghe,Patrick De Boever,Patrick De Boever,Patrick De Boever,Ingeborg Stalmans +21 more
TL;DR: This proof-of-concept study combined hyperspectral imaging and optical coherence tomography to build a classification model to differentiate between AD patients and controls and suggests an added value of combining retinal imaging modalities.
Estimating route travel time variability from link data by means of clustering
Wouter Charle,Francesco Viti,Chris Tampère +2 more
- 11 Jul 2010
TL;DR: This research proposes a novel method for the estimation of route travel time distributions, based on historical link travel time observations, that is on-line computationally efficient while keeping the off-line storage under control and can be applied successfully for route reliability estimation.

Accurate Video-Rate Multi-Spectral Imaging Using IMEC Snapshot Sensors
Kathleen Vunckx,Wouter Charle +1 more
- 24 Mar 2021
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented a data processing flow to reconstruct both spectrally and spatially accurate spectral irradiance and reflectance, transmittance or exitance images even when only a small patch of a reference target is visible in only one of the acquired frames or when only spectrometer measurement of the illumination spectrum is available.

Data compression for snapshot mosaic hyperspectral image sensors
George Tzagkarakis,Wouter Charle,Panagiotis Tsakalides +2 more
- 01 Aug 2016
TL;DR: An appropriate decorrelator is constructed for exploiting the spatio-spectral redundancies among the pixels, by modeling the filters arrangement on the mosaic HSI sensor as a multiple-input multiple-output antenna array.

Burmese python target reflectivity compared to natural Florida foliage background reflectivity.
Ronald G. Driggers,Orges Furxhi,Gonzalo Vaca,Veerle Reumers,Milad Gholipour Vazimali,Robert Short,Prashant Agrawal,Andy Lambrechts,Wouter Charle,Kathleen Vunckx,Carl Arvidson +10 more
TL;DR: The results show that there are enough differences in the data collection such that a single band, inexpensive VisNIR band camera may provide reasonable results and a two-band, VisN IR/SWIR combination may provide higher performance results.
