Die Erfindung betrifft eine Beleuchtungsvorrichtung fur Fahrzeuge mit einem langgestreckten Lichtleiter, der an einer Stirnseite eine Lichteinkoppelflache aufweist, wobei der Lichteinkoppelflache eine Lichtquelle zugeordnet ist, dass der Lichtleiter eine Mantelflache aufweist, an der das eingekoppelte Licht totalreflektiert wird zur Weiterleitung desselben in Langsrichtung des Lichtleiters und dass der Lichtleiter Auskoppelelemente aufweist, so dass das in dem Lichtleiter eingekoppelte Licht in Richtung einer vorderen Mantelflache umgelenkt und an derselben in Hauptabstrahlrichtung ausgekoppelt wird zur Erzeugung einer vorgegebenen Lichtfunktion, wobei auf einer zu der vorderen Mantelflache gegenuberliegenden Seite des langgestreckten Lichtleiters ein Zusatzlichtleiter angeordnet ist, der an einer Schmalseite eine Lichteinkoppelflache zur Einkopplung von einer Mehrzahl entlang derselben angeordneten Lichtquellen abgestrahlten Licht aufweist und der Auskoppelelemente aufweist, so dass das von den Lichtquellen abgestrahlte und in den Zusatzlichtleiter eingekoppelte Licht an einer dem Lichtleiter zugewandten Vorderseite in Richtung des Lichtleiters ausgekoppelt wird, und dass die dem Zusatzlichtleier zugeordneten Lichtquellen sequenziell ein- und/oder ausschaltbar sind zur Erzeugung einer in Langsrichtung des Lichtleiters ortlich veranderbaren Lichtabstrahlung.

The present invention relates to an illumination system (200) including a first sub-system (205) comprising a first set (201) of at least two differently colored light sources where the first set (201) has a first spectral distribution, and a first light mixing device (203) arranged in a direction of emission of light from the first set of light sources and configured to mix light emitted by the first set of light sources. The illumination system further includes a second sub-system (206) comprising a second set (202) of at least two light sources where the second (202) set has a second spectral distribution, and a second light mixing device (204), also arranged in a direction of emission of light from the second set of light sources and configured to mix light emitted by the second set of light sources. The light sources are selected such that that the first and the second spectral distribution complement each other, so that a color rendering index (CRI) of light emitted from the illumination system (200) is greater that the CRI of light emitted from each of the sub-systems. Furthermore, the first (205) and the second (206) sub-systems are arranged to emit at least one common color, such as a shade of white.

A head lamp (19) has a projector lamp (23) arranged in a lamp housing (21) thereof along an axial center thereof. The projector lamp (23) has plural stays (27) extended from an outer surface thereof, and the plural stays (27) are connected to the front frame (22) of the lamp housing (21). The plural stays (27) have a fixing ring (28) connected thereto so as to surround the projector lamp (23), and the fixing ring (28) has LED units (24) mounted thereon at equal angle intervals and has plural reflectors (29) fixed thereto in correspondence with the respective LED units (24).

The lamp has two additional plates (5, 6) placed between a reflector and a cover plate. The plate (6) has concentration points to allow passage of focused light, and light scattering points. The number of concentration points is always equal to the number of focusing segments. The focusing segments have a set of optical units through which the collimation of light is effected. The optical units can be in a Fresnel structure or in a prism form.

The electrical lighting unit has a first bulb [2] that provides light reflected [18] for such as the reversing light function. The second light [3] has a number of light emitting diodes, LED, in a circle and operates as a brake light. The LED s are mounted on a circuit board and light is directed onto a second reflector [7].

The road vehicle signal lamp (1) has a housing containing multiple LED's (17) and reflectors arranged around the central axis of a main lamp (3). Each subsidiary lamp (5,5') may have a single LED and a plain cover glass (18). Each subsidiary lamp is surrounded by an e.g. parabolic reflector (16) and its optical axis may be parallel to the optical axis of the main lamp. The main lamp may have a lens (8) in front of a LED (6) with multiple prismatic lens elements (9) on its rear surface.

The lighting unit has a reflector attached to a light source. A cover disk covers a front opening of the reflector. A light panel (5) is arranged between the reflector and the disk. The panel includes a central surface section running coaxially to the light source, and an outer optical fiber section attached to the surface section. The optical fiber section comprises lens units (14), and small reflectors (15) attached to the lens units.
