Kepimpinan instruksional merupakan antara usaha berterusan penambahbaikan sekolah berkesan. Kajian ini dijalankan untuk mengenal pasti hubungan antara kepimpinan guru besar dan komitmen guru SJKC di Daerah Klang. Kajian tinjauan kuantitatif ini hanya melibat sampel seramai 286 orang guru SJKC sahaja. Instrumen soal selidik kajian diubah suai daripada Instructional Management Rating Scale (PIMRS) dan komitmen organisasi (Allen & Meyer, 1997). Data kajian dianalisis dengan perisian SPSS versi 26.0. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa kepimpinan instruksional guru besar SJKC Klang adalah pada tahap tinggi (min=4.04; sisihan piawai=0.57). Manakala, komitmen guru SJKC Klang adalah pada tahap memuaskan (min=3.33; sisihan piawai=0.74). Data kajian juga menunjukkan bahawa nilai pekali korelasinya ialah p=0.204, p>0.01. Ini bermakna terdapat hubungan yang positif antara kepimpinan guru besar dan komitmen guru tetapi dengan kadar kekuatan yang sangat lemah. Implikasi kajian ini memberikan mesej kepada semua pihak yang berada dalam sistem pendidikan supaya sentiasa bersedia untuk berubah demi mencapai hasrat PPPM 2013-2025. Usaha peningkatan kepimpinan instruksional harus diteruskan tanpa mengabaikan peningkatan komitmen guru. Kesimpulannya, kajian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan bacaan semua pihak untuk menambah pengetahuan kepimpinan sekolah.

A linguistic tsunami: an early warning system for languages at risk

This study successfully identified key factors in character education, involving 34 variables assumed to have a strong correlation with character values. The testing was conducted through various methods, including the Kaiser Meyer Olkin (KMO) test, Bartlett's test, MSA, and confirmation of eigenvalues greater than 1, as well as based on the emerging factor loadings. This research uses explanatory factor analysis to identify key character factors that influence the successful implementation of character education at SMK Negeri 1 Gunungsitoli. This type of research is applied research that applies explanatory factor analysis methods. data obtained by carrying out the dissemination of quesioner to respondents, namely students of SMK State 1 Gunungsitoli of 60 students. The factor analysis results revealed that out of 43 variables, eight main factors were identified to explain the key aspects of character education. The first factor encompasses the ethics and personality of students, while the second factor involves the ethics and discipline of students. The third factor highlights the obedience and communication of students, while the fourth factor focuses on social ethics and student involvement. The fifth factor includes self-ethics and social interaction among students, while the sixth factor is related to academic ethics and the discipline of student learning. The seventh factor emphasises honesty and communication among students, and the eighth factor involves team collaboration and student participation.

Key Factors In Character Education

Aims: The aim of this work was to investigate the effect of humic acid, applied at different concentrations and time intervals, on the vegetative and flowering characters of Zinnia elegans. 
Study Design: The experiment was designed as a complete randomized design with three replications and a total of nine treatments. 
Place and Duration of Study: The experiment was conducted at the Department of Horticulture, School of Agriculture, Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab. The study was carried out over a specific duration in 2022. 
Methodology: The study was conducted in a shaded area, where Zinnia elegans plants were subjected to foliar spraying of humic acid at three different concentrations (2.5, 3.5, and 5.0 mL/L) and at different intervals (10, 30 and 10 and 30 days both after transplanting) after transplanting. Various aspects of plant growth, including plant height, leaf area, root length, branching, and flowering parameters such as days to flower, blooming period, flower size, and number of flowers per plant were observed. 
Results: The results showed that foliar application of humic acid at a concentration of 3.5 mL/L in 10 and 30 days after planting significantly increased plant height, leaf area, root length, branching, flower size, and number of flowers per plant. Plants treated with 3.5 mL/L of humic acid exhibited the highest values for these parameters compared to other treatments and the control (water spary). The days taken to flower were also reduced in plants treated with higher concentrations of humic acid. 
Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate that foliar application of humic acid, particularly at a concentration of 3.5 mL/L in 10 and 30 days after planting, positively influenced the vegetative and flowering dimensions of Zinnia elegans.

Effects of Varying Doses and Timing of Humic Acid Application on Growth and Flowering of Zinnia elegans

This study aimed at investigating Acehnese intermarriage couples choosing Bahasa Indonesia as medium of communication in the home domain and discovering the influences of their language choice on the survival of their mother tongues. Interview guide and questionnaire were applied as the instruments in this qualitative study which was conducted in Banda Aceh with five Acehnese intermarriage couples who use Bahasa Indonesia to interact in the home domain. Results of interview showed that there were some reasons those couples prefer to Bahasa Indonesia which are: (1) to accommodate spouse; (2) to be convenient; (3) to expand social network; (4) Bahasa Indonesia is community language; (5) Bahasa Indonesia is the national language; (6) Bahasa Indonesia is the medium of instruction; (7) Bahasa Indonesia is the dominant language; (8) Bahasa Indonesia is a neutral choice; (9) the couples are less motivated to use the indigenous languages. In addition, the results of questionnaire revealed that the intermarriage couples’ language choice might promote linguistic suicide; that is, the parents do not pass their mother tongues to the children. The linguistic suicide may cause the children to own Bahasa Indonesia as their first language or mother tongue resulting in an inability to own their parents’ mother tongues

Investigating the Language Choice of Acehnese Intermarriage Couples in the Home Domain

This study aims to analyze the factor affecting the teacher competence in mastering digital technology in classroom learning during face-to-face learning in elementary schools in Lamongan district. This study used a quantitative approach using exploratory factor analysis (EFA) techniques. EFA is used to determine indicators related to teacher competence in mastering digital technology. The population of this study were teachers in Lamongan district. The sample of this research is 60 respondents with a cluster sampling method. The research stages include 1) instrument development, 2) instrument validation, 3) data collection, 4) data analysis, and 5) reporting. The results showed that there were 4 factors in mastering digital technology for teachers, namely collaboration, personal development, data literacy and information literacy. Collaboration and personal development in increasing digital competence influence on teacher performance in the teaching process. Teachers have numerous teaching materials due to collaboration using digital platforms.

Factors Affecting Teacher Digital Competence : An Exploratory Factor Analysis

This study aims to analyze theacher commitment’s effect on organizational change in elementary school. This study used a quantitative approach using simple linear regression test data analysis techniques. The populations of this study were teachers and principals of elementary schools in East Java with a total population of 55,152. The research sample was 396 respondents with simple random sampling method. The research questionnaire was prepared using a Likert scale of 1-5 and distributed via Google form. The results of this study indicated that teacher commitment influences organizational change in elementary schools. Moreover, affective commitment, normative commitment and continuing commitment impacted organizational changes in elementary schools.

Red chili cultivation in dry land in an effort to increase production and productivity is constrained by the limited availability of water. The application of humic acid increases the ability of soils to retain restricted water and enhances plant growth and yield. This study aimed to investigate the response of red chili grown in dry land to the application of humic acid. Research place at the Teaching and Research Farm, Faculty of Agriculture, Jambi University. A Randomized Block Design with 5 replications was used in this study. The treated humic acid dose is 0 ton/ha, 2.5 ton/ha, 5 ton/ha, 7.5 ton/ha, and 10 ton/ha. Red chili gave a positive response to the application of humic acid by increasing plant height, number of branches, fruit number, and fruit weight. The dose of humic acid that gave the highest yield of 6.6 ton/ha was 5 ton/ha. This study was only able to provide a yield of 44.06% when compared to the potential yield of red chili.
