Wang,Sergej Konoplev,Zhining Chen,Sherry Pierce,Jing Ning,Wei Qiao,Farhad Ravandi,Michael Andreeff,John S. Welch,Hagop M. Kantarjian,Marina Konopleva +38 more
TL;DR: It is hypothesized that venetoclax with 10-day decitabine could have improved activity in patients with newly diagnosed AML and those with relapsed or refractory AML, particularly in high-risk subgroups, as well as safety, overall survival, and duration of response.

Plasma Circulating Ki-67 Index as a Biomarker and Prognostic Indicator in Patients with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia.
Jean-Marie Bruey,Zeev Estrov,Hagop M. Kantarjian,Wanlong Ma,Chen-Hsiung Yeh,William Weirda,Amber C. Donahue,Susan O'Brien,Michael J. Keating,Maher Albitar +9 more
TL;DR: There variability in proliferation between patients with CLL and those patients high relative proliferation (index) have more aggressive disease is shown, and plasma cKi-67 index and B2M levels are strong predictors of clinical behavior in CLL.

Externally validated predictive clinical model for untreated del(17p13.1) chronic lymphocytic leukemia patients.
Deborah M. Stephens,Amy S. Ruppert,William Weirda,Jeffrey A. Jones,Jennifer A. Woyach,Kami J. Maddocks,Samantha Jaglowski,Leslie A. Andritsos,Joseph M. Flynn,Michael R. Grever,Gerard Lozanski,Constantine S. Tam,Susan O'Brien,Michael J. Keating,Natarajan Muthusamy,Lynne V. Abruzzo,Nyla A. Heerema,John C. Byrd +17 more
TL;DR: A simplified risk score for de novo del(17p13.1) CLL patients is developed to predict TFS and OS based on these variables, and can be utilized to identify high‐risk patients for expedient enrollment on clinical trials.

Clinical Relevance of Circulating Poly-Ubiquitin as a Prognostic Indicator in Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia.
Wanlong Ma,Hagop M. Kantarjian,Xiuqiang Wang,Susan O'Brien,Chen-Hsiung Yeh,Xi Zhang,Zeev Estrov,Anthony Sferruzza,William Weirda,Michael J. Keating,Maher Albitar +10 more
TL;DR: The correlation of plasma ubiquitin protein levels with clinical behavior in CLL patients was examined and higher levels of poly-ubiquitin were associated with longer survival, and when a cut- point corresponding to the upper quartile was used, patients with poly-ubsitin levels >193 ng/mL had significantly better survival than did those with lower levels.
