Space-time analytics of human physiology for urban planning
Garrett C. Millar,Ondrej Mitas,Wilco Boode,Lisette Hoeke,Joost de Kruijf,Anna Petrasova,Helena Mitasova +6 more
TL;DR: A within-participants multilevel modeling approach was taken to determine relationships between different types of viewable land cover area and emotional arousal, and surprisingly, ride segments with views of larger natural, recreational, agricultural, and forested areas were more emotionally arousing for participants.

More is not better : the emotional dynamics of an excellent experience
Ondrej Mitas,Helena Mitasova,Garrett C. Millar,Wilco Boode,V Neveu,Moniek Hover,F. van den Eijnden,Marcel C. M. Bastiaansen +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the ebb and flow of emotional arousal during an experience is analyzed. But current models do not explain how the eb and flow during an experiential experience affects the intent to recommend.

A digital game-based simulation platform for integrated marine spatial planning: design challenges and technical innovations.
Carlos Santos,Harald Warmelink,Wilco Boode,Phil de Groot,Kevin Hutchinson,Magali Goncalves,Jeroen Steenbeek,Igor Mayer +7 more
- 01 Jan 2020
TL;DR: The authors discuss lessons learned and provide directions for future research and development for both the MSP Challenge simulation platform and maritime planning support systems at large.

An offshore energy simulation through flow networks: CEL within the MSP Challenge 2050 simulation game platform
Kevin Hutchinson,Hjg Warmelink,Wilco Boode,CA Pereira Santos,Igor Mayer +4 more
- 25 Oct 2018
TL;DR: The design of the offshore energy simulation CEL as a flow network, and its integration in the MSP Challenge 2050 simulation game platform are presented.
A shipping simulation through pathfinding: SEL within the MSP Challenge simulation platform
Phil de Groot,Wilco Boode,Carlos Santos,Harald Warmelink,Igor Mayer +4 more
- 20 Sep 2019
TL;DR: The authors present the design of the shipping simulation SEL and its integration in the MSP Challenge Simulation Platform, designed to give policymakers and planners insight into the complexity of Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP) and can be used for interactive planning support.
