Synthesis and structure elucidation of triarylmethyl radicals with anthryl substitution.
TL;DR: In this paper , two stable triarylmethyl radicals with one or two anthryl substitutions were synthesized in gram scale, and isolated in the crystalline state, revealing that the twisted structure is more energetically favorable than the folded structure, and consequently, the spin density is mainly localized at the methyl carbon.
