Influence of re-melting on surface roughness and porosity of AlSi10Mg parts fabricated by selective laser melting
TL;DR: In this paper, the same and opposite directions of re-melting were performed in AlSi10Mg parts by selective laser melting (SLM) technology to investigate surface roughness and porosity with confocal microscopy, micro-computed tomography (CT) and optical microscopy.

Influence of erbium addition on the defects of selective laser-melted 7075 aluminium alloy
Xuhui Zhang,Zhen Xiao,Wenhui Yu,Chee Kai Chua,Lihua Zhu,Zong-Shen Wang,Peng Xue,Shuai Tan,Yongling Wu,Hongyu Zheng +9 more
- 03 Apr 2022
TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated the influence of Er element on crack reduction in selective laser-melted (SLMed) 7075 aluminium alloy powders and found that the porosity increases with Er addition.

Enhanced nucleation and refinement of eutectic Si by high number-density nano-particles in Al-10Si-0.5Sb alloys
Fengxiang Guo,Fengxiang Guo,Wang Wei,Wang Wei,Wenhui Yu,Yong Zhang,Shaopeng Pan,Zhonghai Zhou,Dan Liu,Jingyu Qin,Wang Yao,Xuelei Tian +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the mechanism of refinement of eutectic Si with Sb additions in an Al-10-wt.% Si alloy is studied, and the increased holding time designates a transition from a decreased value to an increased one, accompanied by a morphological transformation of eUTectic si from lamellar to a shorter, rod-like shape.
