microRNA-497 inhibits invasion and metastasis of colorectal cancer cells by targeting vascular endothelial growth factor-A.
Yanyan Qiu,Hui Yu,Shi Xiaojing,Ke Xu,Qing-Feng Tang,Bo Liang,Song-Jiao Hu,Yi-Jie Bao,Jianhua Xu,Cai Jie,Wen Peng,Qin Cao,Peihao Yin +12 more
TL;DR: The aim of this study was to investigate microRNA‐497 (miR‐497) expression and its role in development of colorectal cancer (CRC).
MicroRNA-497 and bufalin act synergistically to inhibit colorectal cancer metastasis.
TL;DR: It is revealed thatbufalin inhibited angiogenesis and regulated miR-497 expression and that bufalin and miR -497 acted in synergy to inhibit colorectal cancer metastasis, resulting in improved quality of life in a nude mouse model.

Mitochondrial translocation of cofilin-1 promotes apoptosis of gastric cancer BGC-823 cells induced by ursolic acid.
Qing-Feng Tang,Qing Ji,Yu Tang,Teng Chen,Gang Pan,Song-Jiao Hu,Yi-Jie Bao,Wen Peng,Peihao Yin +8 more
TL;DR: It is found in apoptotic gastric cancer BGC-823 cells induced by ursolic acid that a translocation of cofilin-1 protein from the cytoplasm to the mitochondria promoted the release of cytochrome c from the mitochondrial to the cy toplasm, thereby activating the caspase cascade and finally inducing gastric cancers cell apoptosis.

Early prediction of intestinal mucosal barrier function impairment by elevated serum procalcitonin in rats with severe acute pancreatitis.
Hong-chang Li,Xin-juan Fan,Ya-feng Chen,Jia-min Tu,Li-yun Pan,Teng Chen,Peihao Yin,Wen Peng,Dian-xu Feng +8 more
TL;DR: PCT expression in serum and intestinal tissues in SAP rats increased significantly in the early stages of SAP, and was closely related to the onset and degree of intestinal barrier function impairment.

Synergistic Effect of Zuo Jin Wan on DDP-Induced Apoptosis in Human Gastric Cancer SGC-7901/DDP Cells
TL;DR: In vitro and in vivo, ZJW extracts could enhance the proapoptotic effect of DDP by promoting the activation of JNK and the expression of Bcl-2, inhibiting the Bax expression, followed by increasing the release of Cytochrome C from mitochondria to cytoplasm, and finally activating the caspase cade reaction.
