Diffusion bonding of ZrB2–SiC/Nb with in situ synthesized TiB whiskers array
TL;DR: In this paper, the ZrB 2 -20 vol.% SiC composites were diffusion bonded to Nb using pure Ti interlayer and the results showed that Ti reacted with Nb and ZS to form a typical three layers in the joint.

Microstructural Evolution and Growth Behavior of In Situ TiB Whisker Array in ZrB2–SiC/Ti6Al4V Brazing Joints
TL;DR: In this article, an in situ short fiber reinforced brazing technique by taking advantage of reaction between ZrB2 and Ti has been developed for joining Zb2-SiC ceramic and Ti6Al4V alloy.

Microstructure and mechanical properties of ZrB2-SiC joints fabricated by a contact-reactive brazing technique with Ti and Ni interlayers
TL;DR: In this paper, a contact reaction brazing technique with Ti and Ni interlayers was used to join ZrB2-SiC ceramics, and the influence of Ti-Ni stack methods and Ti content to the microstructure of the joint was investigated.

Influence of a Mo interlayer on the oxidation behavior of a Cr coating on a Zr alloy substrate
TL;DR: In this article , the effect of the Mo interlayer on the oxidation behavior of the Cr2O3 oxide layer at different time lengths (maximum 90 min) at 1160 °C was investigated.

Electroplating assisted diffusion bonding of ZrC–SiC composite for full ceramic joints
TL;DR: In this article, an optimal Ni interlayer of 4μm, which was precisely controlled by adjusting the plating time, was designed to ensure a reliable bonding for full ceramic joints.
