Corrosion resistance and interfacial morphologies of novel Fe-Cr-Mo-B cast steels in molten aluminum
TL;DR: In this article, the corrosion resistance and interfacial morphologies of Fe-Cr-Mo-B cast steels in molten aluminum have been studied and it was shown that borides play a key role in improving the corrosion resilience of Fe 2 B.

Formation of periodic layered structure between novel Fe-Cr-B cast steel and molten aluminum
TL;DR: In this paper, the formation of a periodic layered structure between novel Fe-Cr-B cast steel and molten aluminum was investigated by scanning electron microscopy and electron probe micro-analyzer.

Influence of Cr on the interfacial boride reaction between Fe-Cr-B cast steel and molten aluminium
TL;DR: The influence of the Cr content of Fe-Cr-B cast steel on the interfacial reaction between M2B-type boride and molten aluminium was studied in this article, where it was shown that alternating-layer phases in a PLS are not formed initially Instead the preferential leaching of Fe atoms from (Cr,Fe)2B, accompanied by the inward diffusion of Al atoms, resulted in the initial formation of a single-phase layer of Cr-B-Al phase.
Effects of Cr and Zn on the interfacial microstructures of borides in Fe–Cr–B cast steels during hot-dipping in Al–Zn alloys
TL;DR: The interfacial microstructures of borides in Fe-Cr-B cast steels with different Cr contents after hot dipping in Al-Zn alloys were investigated in this article.
