c-Myc plays part in drug resistance mediated by bone marrow stromal cells in acute myeloid leukemia
Bing Xia,Chen Tian,Shanqi Guo,Le Zhang,Dandan Zhao,Fulian Qu,Weipeng Zhao,Yafei Wang,Xiaoxiong Wu,Wanming Da,Sheng Wei,Yizhuo Zhang +11 more
TL;DR: It is reported that mesenchymal stromal cells (MSC) are essential component of bone marrow microenvironment which affects the survival of AML cells and c-Myc is a potential therapeutic target for overcoming drug resistance in AML.

Toll-like receptor 4–induced inflammatory responses contribute to the tumor-associated macrophages formation and infiltration in patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma
Xiao Fang Wang,Xiangli Li,Xiaoying Zhang,Li Zang,Hongliang Yang,Weipeng Zhao,Haifeng Zhao,Qian Li,Bing Xia,Yong Yu,Yafei Wang,Zhigang Zhao,Yizhuo Zhang +12 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that both of TAMs and TLR4 had not only one side on DLBCL growth, but, on the other hand, the number of CD68 TAMs was closely related to β2-microglobulin and Toll-like receptor 4 was related to tumor size and peripheral blood lymphocyte to monocyte ratio.

[Effect of PI3Kδ inhibitor CAL-101 on myeloma cell lines and preliminary study of synergistic effects with other new drugs].
Qing Zhang,Bing Xia,Fulian Qu,Tian Yuan,Shanqi Guo,Weipeng Zhao,Qian Li,Hongliang Yang,Yafei Wang,Yizhuo Zhang +9 more
TL;DR: CAL-101 has significant synergistic effect with PCI-32765, SAHA and BTZ, and down-regulation of p-AKT and p-ERK probably related with the mechanism of CAL-101 in MM cell proliferation inhibition.

ILK promotes angiogenic activity of mesenchymal stem cells in multiple myeloma
TL;DR: It was identified that angiogenic factors were upregulated in mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) that were co-cultured with multiple myeloma cell lines and it was revealed that upregulated ILK expression significantly promoted the capillary-formation ability of MSCs.
