Properties of wood plastic composites made of recycled HDPE and wood flour from CCA-treated wood removed from service
TL;DR: The feasibility of using recycled plastic and wood particles from chromated copper arsenate (CCA)-treated wood removed from service was investigated in this article, where CCA pressure-treated red pine lumber was milled to wood flour and blended with virgin or recycled high-density polyethylene at 50:50 wood flour-toplastic weight ratios.

Diffuse Reflectance Infrared Fourier Transform Spectroscopy (Drift) and Color Changes of Artificial Weathered Wood
TL;DR: In this article, a short-term (22.7 h) accelerated weathering was performed on black cherry ( Prunus serotina), soft maple ( Acer saccharinum ), and red oak ( Quercus rubra ) using a 2-h ultraviolet (UV) light irradiation and 0.3-h water spray regime.
Response of carbohydrate metabolism-mediated sink strength to auxin in shoot tips of apple plants
TL;DR: In this article , the authors found that exogenous IAA altered fructose (Fru), glucose (Glc), and sucrose (Suc) concentrations in shoot tips mainly by regulating MdSUSY1, MdFRK2, MdHxK1/3 and MdSDH2 transcript levels.

Effect of the addition of ammonia in the retention and leaching of copper-amine-treated southern pine cubes
TL;DR: In this article, Southern pine cubes were pressure treated with an aqueous formulation containing various amounts of copper monoethanolamine (Cu-MEA) and ammonia, and a laboratory leaching test was performed on treated cubes to determine the influence of copper retentions and addition of up to 1 percent ammonia on the retention and leaching of copper in the treated cubes.
