Comparative study of lanostane-type triterpene acids in different parts of Poria cocos (Schw.) Wolf by UHPLC-Fourier transform MS and UHPLC-triple quadruple MS.
TL;DR: This study represents the first reported comprehensive analysis of lanostane-type triterpene acids in FLP and BFL parts of P. cocos, and demonstrated that dehydrotumulosic acid, trametenolic acid, dehydrotrametenolics acid and poricoic acid A were the main compounds contributing to the clusters in FLp and B FL.

Screening active ingredients of rosemary based on spectrum-effect relationships between UPLC fingerprint and vasorelaxant activity using three chemometrics.
TL;DR: Most rosemary extracts showed dose-dependent increase in vasorelaxant activity and five kinds of ingredients, including carnosol, carnosic acid, epirosmanol methyl ether, carnOSol isomer, and augustic acid were screened as vasoreLaxant ingredients.

Exploring the resources of the genus Viscum for potential therapeutic applications.
Chuan Song,Xu-Ya Wei,Zi-Dong Qiu,Li Gong,Ze-Yan Chen,Ying Ma,Ye Shen,Yujun Zhao,Weihao Wang,Chang-Jiang-Sheng Lai,Bin Yang +10 more
TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors explored the medicinal properties of twelve species belonging to the genus Viscum for potential therapeutic applications, including amino acid and peptides, alkaloids, phenolic acids, flavonoids, terpenoids, carbohydrates, fatty acids, lipids, and other types of compounds.

Profiling and isomer recognition of phenylethanoid glycosides from Magnolia officinalis based on diagnostic/holistic fragment ions analysis coupled with chemometrics.
Zhenzhen Xue,Changjiangsheng Lai,Liping Kang,Akira Kotani,Hideki Hakamata,Zhixian Jing,Hua Li,Weihao Wang,Bin Yang +8 more
TL;DR: This report presents the first proposal of a method, combining multiple diagnostic ion/neutral loss (DINL) postanalysis and especially untargeted fingerprint analysis of all fragment ions (FAAFI) by means of a home-made program and chemometrics, to profile chemical components and recognize their isomers derived from medicinal plants.

Optimization of Extraction Conditions for Flavonoid Composition and Antioxidant Activity of Radix Scutellariae
TL;DR: In this paper, microwave, ultrasonic, and reflux extraction were compared to provide an optimized method for flavonoids from Radix Scutellariae including the antioxidant activity of the extracts.
