Laboratory-scale investigation of the 3-D geometry of landslide dams in a U-shaped valley
TL;DR: In this article, a photogrammetric system was used to develop a laboratory apparatus to simulate the formation process of a landslide dam and construct a digital model for the 3D geometry of a U-shaped valley.

An improved evaluation method for the undrained shear strength of uniform soft clay in the nonfull flow state based on ball penetration simulations
TL;DR: In this paper , a coupled Eulerian-Lagrangian approach was used to simulate soft marine clays in the non-full flow state and an improved method for evaluating the undrained shear strength was proposed, combined with the net penetration resistance and the bearing capacity factors.

Performance investigation of micropile groups in stabilizing unstable talus slopes via centrifuge model tests
TL;DR: In this paper , a series of centrifuge model tests were conducted to investigate the mechanical and deformation characteristics and the anti-slip mechanism of MPGs, then compare them with those of conventional piles.

Experimental investigation on the formation process of landslide dams and a criterion of river blockage
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper built a laboratory-scale experimental apparatus for simulating the formation and evolution process of landslide dams, and carried out a total of 29 experiments to investigate the influences of the landslide volume, the landslide discharge, and the water flow rate on a criterion and the time length of river blockage.
