TL;DR: In this paper, a 3D blood vessel boundary segmentation method and system consisting of a preprocessing module, a first coordinate transformation module which transforms an image into an image under a polar coordinate system, an image artifact identification module which determines an artifact in the image and generates an artifact mask image, a vessel cavity center locating module which determined a blood vessel center in the original image, and a second coordinate transform module which transformed the determined image of the blood vessel cavity centre into a new image under the polar coordinate systems, and removes an artifact from the new image according to the artifact

TL;DR: This is the first time to show that OCT-based FFR can be computed online in the catheterization laboratory, and bears the potential of improving integration of intracoronary OCT imaging and physiological assessment in patients with coronary artery disease.
