Strategies for improving the payload of small molecular drugs in polymeric micelles
Yu Zhang,Tianyang Ren,Jingxin Gou,Ling Zhang,Xiaoguang Tao,Bin Tian,Pengqian Tian,Dandan Yu,Jianbo Song,Xiaolin Liu,Yanhui Chao,Wei Xiao,Xing Tang +12 more
TL;DR: Following an analysis of the published literature, several strategies towards achieving polymeric micelles with high drug loading and stability are presented in this review, in order to ensure adequate drug levels reach target sites.

Impact of electrolytes on double emulsion systems (W/O/W) stabilized by an amphiphilic block copolymer.
TL;DR: It was found that the O/W ratio and the type of electrolyte had a marked effect on the formation and type of the double emulsion, and double emulsions containing an NaCl isotonic solution were stable for at least two months, whereas those using glucose as a substitute for NaCl showed a clear compartmental change.

Clarithromycin ion pair in a liposomal membrane to improve its stability and reduce its irritation caused by intravenous administration
Sicong Geng,Xiaolin Liu,Hang Xu,Cuifang Cai,Yu Zhang,Qing Yao,He-Lin Xu,Jingxin Gou,Tian Yin,Wei Xiao,Xing Tang +10 more
TL;DR: Findings suggest that CIP-Lip is a promising intravenous drug delivery system, especially on account of its high DL and reduced irritation.

Mechanisms of action underlying the effect of Tongsaimai on wound healing based on experimental and network pharmacology.
TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors used high-performance liquid chromatography combined with diode array detector (HPLCDAD) to detect the components of Tongsaimai (TSM) and found that TSM was found to enhance the rate of wound contraction and increase epithelial thickness and collagen deposition during the healing process.

Reduced In vivo burst release of ginkgolide B microcrystals achieved by polymeric H+ depot
Mirna Nachouki,Jingxin Gou,Silin Wang,Bin Li,Xu Li,Tian Yin,Haibing He,Yu Zhang,Xing Tang,Wei Xiao,Wang Zhenzhong +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, a polymeric H+ depot composed of alginate was combined with drug microcrystal (MC) using ginkgolide B (GB) as model drug to reduce the initial burst release of the drugs with elevated solubility in body fluid.
