Surface composition and electrical and electrochemical properties of freshly deposited and acid-etched indium tin oxide electrodes.
Michael T. Brumbach,P. Alex Veneman,F. Saneeha Marrikar,Thomas Schulmeyer,Adam G. Simmonds,Wei Xia,Paul A. Lee,Neal R. Armstrong +7 more
TL;DR: It is determined that acid activation and O2 plasma etching create an ITO surface that is still covered with an average of one to two monolayers of hydroxide, suggesting that these electroactive sites arise from near-surface tin enrichment.

Effects of field dependent mobility and contact barriers on liquid crystalline phthalocyanine organic transistors
TL;DR: In this article, a two-dimensional numerical simulation of the bottom contact organic field effect transistors (OFETs) on silicon substrates was performed and a hole barrier at the Au∕phthalocyanine source and drain contacts was seen from the experimental data.

Octakis(2-benzyloxyethylsulfanyl) Copper (II) Phthalocyanine: A New Liquid Crystalline Discotic Material with Benzyl-Terminated, Thioether-Linked Side Chains
Britt A. Minch,Wei Xia,Carrie L. Donley,Ryan M. Hernandez,Chet Carter,Michael D. Carducci,Alice Dawson,David F. O'Brien,Neal R. Armstrong +8 more
TL;DR: The synthesis and materials properties of a new liquid crystalline phthalocyanine, octakis (2-benzyloxyethylsulfanyl) copper (II) PHTHANOCYCLYANINE, 2 are reported in this paper, which possesses eight benzylterminated side chains with thioether links to the Pc core.

Thin Films of Polymerized Rodlike Phthalocyanine Aggregates
Carrie L. Donley,Wei Xia,Britt A. Minch,Rebecca A. Zangmeister,Rebecca A. Zangmeister,Anthony S. Drager,Anthony S. Drager,Kenneth W. Nebesny,David F. O'Brien,Neal R. Armstrong +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the synthesis, characterization, and thin film formation of a polymerizable octa-substituted phthalocyanine (Pc) with styryl-terminated side chains was reported.

Anisotropies in the electrical properties of rod-like aggregates of liquid crystalline phthalocyanines: Direct current conductivities and field-effect mobilities
Carrie L. Donley,Rebecca A. Zangmeister,Wei Xia,Britt A. Minch,Anthony S. Drager,Samir K. Cherian,Lynn LaRussa,Bernard Kippelen,Benoit Domercq,David L. Mathine,David F. O'Brien,Neal R. Armstrong +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the direct current (dc) conductivities and organic field effect transistor (OFET) characteristics of octa-substituted liquid crystalline (discotic mesophase) phthalocyanines (Pcs) are discussed.
