Bio-inspired vapor-responsive colloidal photonic crystal patterns by inkjet printing
TL;DR: This report develops a kind of responsive CPC patterns with multicolor shifting properties by inkjet printing mesoporous colloidal nanoparticle ink on both rigid and soft substrates and shows great promise for developing advanced responsive CPC devices such as anticounterfeiting devices, multifunctional microchips, sensor arrays, or dynamic displays.

Tissue-engineered trachea from a 3D-printed scaffold enhances whole-segment tracheal repair in a goat model.
Dekai Xia,Dawei Jin,Qian Wang,Manchen Gao,Jialing Zhang,Hengyi Zhang,Jie Bai,Bei Feng,Maolin Chen,Yanhui Huang,Yumin Zhong,Nevin Witman,Wei Wang,Zhiwei Xu,Haibo Zhang,Meng Yin,Wei Fu +16 more
TL;DR: This large animal study provides potential preclinical evidence around the employment of an orthotopic transplantation of a whole 3D‐printed TET for tracheal stenosis and an encouraging epithelial‐like tissue formation was observed in the TETs after transplantation.

Kartogenin preconditioning commits mesenchymal stem cells to a precartilaginous stage with enhanced chondrogenic potential by modulating JNK and β-catenin–related pathways
Hui Jing,Xiaoyang Zhang,Manchen Gao,Kai Luo,Wei Fu,Meng Yin,Wei Wang,Zhongqun Zhu,Jinghao Zheng,Xiaomin He +9 more
TL;DR: KGN preconditioning likely improves the chondrogenic differentiation of hUCMSCs by committing them to a precartilaginous stage with enhanced JNK phosphorylation and suppressed β‐catenin levels.

Drug repurposing screening and mechanism analysis based on human colorectal cancer organoids.
Yunuo Mao,Wei Wang,Jing-wei Yang,Xin Zhou,Yongqu Lu,Junpeng Gao,Xiao Chen Wang,Lu Wen,Wei Fu,Fuchou Tang +9 more
TL;DR: In this article , a robust organoid-based drug screening system was developed to efficiently identify repurposed drugs for colorectal cancer (CRC) by combining the repused drug library and computation based drug prediction, and 34 drugs with anti-CRC effects were identified.

Transient secretion of VEGF protein from transplanted hiPSC-CMs enhances engraftment and improves rat heart function post MI.
Xuefeng Ai,Bingqian Yan,Nevin Witman,Yiqi Gong,Li Jun Yang,Yao Tan,Ying Chen,Minglu Liu,Tingting Lu,Runjiao Luo,Huijing Wang,Kenneth R. Chien,Wei Wang,Weiding Fu +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors showed that the over-expression of VEGF from iPSC-derived cardiomyocytes with modified mRNA (modRNA) improved the survival of transplanted cells in tissue-engineered heart regeneration.
