Dynamic task offloading for Internet of Things in mobile edge computing via deep reinforcement learning
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper designed a deep reinforcement learning (DRL)-based dynamic task offloading (DDTO) algorithm to solve this problem. But, their algorithm is not suitable for the task of cloud computing.

Decoding Metric Study for Turbo Codes in Very Impulsive Environment
Wei Gu,Laurent Clavier +1 more
TL;DR: Simulation results show that the p-norm allows a significant error correction improvement compared with other metrics in very impulsive cases, and its performance appears to be close to the optimal decoder.

Receiver study for cooperative communications in convolved additive α-stable interference plus Gaussian thermal noise
Wei Gu,Gareth W. Peters,Laurent Clavier,François Septier,Ido Nevat +4 more
- 28 Aug 2012
TL;DR: This work considers an optimal receiver design and develops an importance sampling approach to perform estimation of the optimal receiver in the presence of convolved stable and Gaussian noises, including an approximation approach based on the Normal Inverse Gaussian (NIG) distribution.

Turbo code decoding in MAI environment
Wei Gu,Laurent Clavier,Nathalie Rolland,Paul-Alain Rolland +3 more
- 28 Oct 2010
TL;DR: This work proposes to represent impulsive noise with symmetric α-stable (SαS) distribution, well adapted due to its heavy tailed property, and indicates that the p-norm could be an appropriate metric adapted to the MAI environment for turbo code decoding.

Remote Localization of Network-based Automatic Guided Vehicles with a Novel Quantized Set-membership Approach
TL;DR: The remote localization performance analysis verifies the effectiveness of the proposed quantized set-membership approach for the considered AGV.
