The aim of this study is to identify the influence of Financial Technology (FinTech) on profitability in Jordanian commercial banks. The convenience sample was surveyed using a descriptive cross-sectional approach. Questionnaires were used to collect the data. The study population consists of commercial banks. The tool was sent to employees of all Jordanian commercial banks through email, Facebook and Twitter in order to meet the researchers' target sample size of at least 381 participants. The data was analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 24. The results showed an impact of financial technology (financing, money transfers and lending) on banks' profitability. The results of this study demonstrate that the adoption of FinTech solutions by banks has a significant impact on their profitability and position. Financing, money transfer and lending are crucial in determining a bank's profitability and overall success. Therefore, this study contributed to the growth of a new model that connects financial technology through financing, money transfers and lending to profitability and it added many topics related to financial accounting technology for increasing profitability in Jordanian commercial banks. 

The influence of financial technology on profitability in Jordanian commercial banks

Credit risk has gained considerable attention in most countries of the world intending to manage the efficiency of credit portfolios. This study attempts to examine the impact of credit risk management on bank profitability. The local Bank of Palestine provided secondary data over a ten-year period (2010–2020) collected from financial annual reports. The statistical analysis is carried out using the SPSS and E-views software, and the study hypotheses are verified using descriptive statistics, multicollinearity tests, and regression. Palestinian banks’ profitability was evaluated using return on assets, along with bank-specific metrics such as capital adequacy ratio (CAR), loan-to-deposit ratio (LDR), non-performing loans (NPLs), loan loss provision ratio (LLPR), bank size, and bank age, as signs of credit risk management. The study’s findings indicate that there are differences in how credit risk management affects bank profitability in the context of Palestine. CAR NPLs have a positive but insignificant effect on profitability using ROA. The regression found a significant positive effect of LLPR on profitability using ROA. Finally, with respect to LDR as an indicator of credit risk management, the regression found its negative but insignificant effect on profitability using ROA. The results demonstrate how the board’s structure influences the performance of a company, which is regarded important knowledge for decision makers.

Credit risk management and profitability: Evidence from Palestinian banks

This study analyzes the effect of internal factors of bank performance on deposit flows, considering the changes in the stock market conditions in Ghana. A panel dataset covering 2007 to 2021 of 18 banks in Ghana is applied in a dynamic panel model for the analysis. The results show that the lagged deposit growth exerts an impressive influence of 0.68 percent on the future deposit flows of banks, thus positing a favorable implication for their trading momentum. Also, liquidity was found to have a negative relationship of –0.64 percent with deposit growth. This implies that the holding of excess liquidity diminishes investors’ confidence in a bank’s ability to generate more revenue to enhance the value of their funds, as high liquidity ratios reduce the bank’s capacity to grant more loans for profit. Furthermore, the analysis revealed a positive effect of 1.93 percent by expenditure on deposit growth, which suggests that depositors recognize a rise in operational costs as an indication of a bank’s potential for growth and rapid expansion. Moreover, the analysis found the existence of a negative effect of –0.88 percent by the stock market conditions on deposit growth, which implies that bullish market conditions reduce bank deposits. This verifies that the determinants of deposit flows adapt to the changes in market conditions. Policy strategies should include non-performance metrics such as an increase in the interest paid on customers’ deposits, product promotions, and targeted advertisements to sustain the inflow of depositors’ funds under changing market conditions.

Internal determinants of bank deposit flows under different market conditions in Ghana

The rapid development of Islamic banking in Indonesia, which must be balanced with contributions to economic growth, is the background for writing this article. The analysis in this article uses the Ordinary Least Square (OLS) method to find out how much influence Islamic banking has on economic growth as represented by the Gross Domestic Product. The financial sector plays an important role in driving a country's economic growth. This study aims to analyze the causal relationship between Islamic banking on Indonesia's economic growth, analyze the response of Indonesia's economic growth when shocks occur in Islamic banking variables, and determine the contribution of Islamic banking variables to Indonesia's economic growth. Total deposits, total credit/total financing, and total assets as a variable that represents banking. GDP (Gross Domestic Product) as a variable that represents economic growth. Using the Cointegration and Granger Causality methods, the results show that in general conventional and Islamic banking have an effect on economic growth in Indonesia.

The implementation of sharia banking on the economy of society in indonesia

The aim of the study was to examine the effect of financing growth and Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) on profitability with Non Performing Financing (NPF) as moderation with a sample of 6 Islamic commercial banks registered with the Financial Services Authority during the 2011-2020 period. The analysis technique used is Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results showed that financing growth had a positive and significant effect on profitability (ROA and ROE). CAR has a positive and significant effect on profitability (ROA), but not significant on profitability (ROE). In addition, the research results also show that NPF is not able to moderate the effect of financing growth on profitability (ROA and ROE). Conversely, NPF moderates by weakening the effect of CAR on profitability (ROA and ROE). In other words, profitability is expected to decrease because the use of bank capital is not optimal due to the large NPF value. This research contributes to Islamic commercial banks to carry out financing effectiveness and carry out CAR efficiency so that performance can improve financial performance.&#x0D; Keywords: ROA ; ROE ; Financing Growth ; CAR ; NPF

A Review of Momentum Strategy in Capital Market

This study examines the influence of profitability, capital structure, investment decisions, and firm size on firm value in pharmaceutical sub-sector companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. This study uses secondary data from the financial statements of each pharmaceutical sub-sector company. The sample in this study consists of 9 pharmaceutical sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2018-2021. The data analysis method used is a multiple linear regression test with the help of Eviews 12. The results partially show that return on assets, return on equity, and capital structure has a positive and significant effect on firm value. Meanwhile, investment decisions and firm size partially do not significantly affect firm value in pharmaceutical sub-sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2018-2021 period.
