TL;DR: Researchers developed a cooperative BiOx/Au catalyst that selectively electrooxidizes glycerol to lactic acid with 82% selectivity at high current density, outperforming previous works, and also produces hydrogen fuel, demonstrating a sustainable waste-to-wealth principle.
