TL;DR: In this paper, a security chip COS firmware updating method is described, which comprises the following steps of receiving a security-chip COS updating request sent by a terminal; verifying the identity of the terminal; after the identity was verified, using a first random key for performing symmetrical encryption on the new version COS file and an HASH value of the file; sending the encrypted data to the terminal so that the terminal performs decryption on the received data; and after the HASH values pass the checking, updating the new file file.

TL;DR: The USB encryption and decryption bridge chip as mentioned in this paper is a bridge device between a mainframe and a mobile storage device, which can not only encrypt and decrypt data of the mobile storage devices, but also lead information stored in the storage device to have two safety barriers, one safety barrier is that the obtained storage device is a blank disc which is not formatted and the other one is that even the storage devices is obtained illegally, if without a key, plaintext data in storage device can not be obtained.
