The invention provides application of a hydrotalcite-based catalyst in conversion of high-concentration sugar into 1,2-propylene glycol, and belongs to the technical field of energy and chemical engineering. A hydrotalcite precursor is prepared by adopting a coprecipitation method, then metal is introduced by utilizing dipping, adsorption and exchange methods, a metal-promoted metal-composite oxide catalyst is obtained by roasting and reduction, and the catalyst shows relatively high selectivity in a reaction of catalytically converting high-concentration sugar into 1,2-propylene glycol. The catalyst provided by the invention has the advantages of simple synthesis, high catalyst activity, good stability and the like, and the reaction has the characteristics that the raw materials are renewable resources and the atom economy is high. Besides, compared with other technologies for preparing 1,2-propylene glycol by taking biomass as a raw material, the process has the advantages of simplereaction process, high space-time yield, convenience in industrial production and the like.

The invention discloses a method for preparing a single-layer hydrotalcite nanosheet material on a large scale. According to the invention, a full backmixing rotary liquid film reactor (colloid mill)which is easy for industrial large-scale production of hydrotalcite is adopted, and a series of single-layer hydrotalcite nanosheets with uniform size distribution are rapidly synthesized in one stepby utilizing the property that the metal types of hydrotalcite laminates are adjustable. According to the method, in a full backmixing rotating liquid film reactor, an ultrathin space between a rotorand a stator is utilized, violent circulating stirring is performed at a high rotating speed, a small amount of a growth inhibitor is added in the Z-axis direction of hydrotalcite, and a large numberof single-layer hydrotalcite nanosheets which are small in size and uniform are formed at the moment of nucleation reaction. The preparation method is mild in condition, can be universally used in single-layer hydrotalcite synthesis, is simple and convenient to operate, simple in process and low in cost, is used for accurately synthesizing single-layer hydrotalcite nanosheets by using a full-backmixing rotary liquid film reactor for the first time, and is expected to realize large-scale production of single-layer hydrotalcite.

A series of mono-disperse noble metal-loaded single-layer hydrotalcite materials are synthesized through adjusting and controlling the types of hydrotalcite main body laminates and noble metal ions by virtue of a one-step coprecipitation method. Thematerial presents excellent catalytic activity in dehydrogenation coupling reaction. A catalyst prepared according to the invention is easy to operate, noble metals are in a mono-disperse state, andthe catalyst is low in use cost and can be easily produced and used in large scale.
