A method for estimating genomic breeding value integrating dominance effects
Tianfei Liu,Qu Hao,Luo Chenglong,Wang Yan,Jian Ji,Shu Dingming +5 more
- 28 Dec 2018
TL;DR: In this article, a method for estimating the genomic breeding value for livestock and poultry genetic selection is presented, which can greatly improve the accuracy of genome estimation breeding value without increasing the complexity of the model.

High-uniformity breeding and seed reserving method of yellow-feather chicken
Tianfei Liu,Qu Hao,Luo Chenglong,Wang Yan,Jian Ji,Shu Dingming +5 more
- 10 Mar 2020
TL;DR: In this paper, a high-uniformity breeding and seed reserving method of yellow-feather chicken is proposed, where the breeding value is estimated based on the weight of the chicken, the individual selection index model is established, and the individual ranking index is calculated for determining the individual chicken reserving as seeds.
High-Throughput Sequencing With the Preselection of Markers Is a Good Alternative to SNP Chips for Genomic Prediction in Broilers
TL;DR: The results from this study indicate that the PMS method can improve the accuracy of GEBV, and that more accurate genomic prediction can be obtained from an increased number of genomic markers when using high-throughput sequencing in local broiler populations.
