A method of reconstructing 3D model from 2D geological cross-section based on self-adaptive spatial sampling: A case study of Cretaceous McMurray reservoirs in a block of Canada
Wang Lixin,Yanshu Yin,Hui Wang,Changmin Zhang,Wenjie Feng,Zhenkun Liu,Pangen Wang,Lifang Cheng,Jiong Liu +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, an adaptive spatial sampling method is introduced, and an iterative simulation strategy is adopted, in which sample points from the region with higher reliability of the previous simulation results are extracted to be additional condition points in the following simulation to improve the pattern probability sampling stability.

Seismic reservoir inversion method based on multi-point geological statistics
Yin Yanshu,Wang Lixin,Wenjie Feng,Zhao Xuesi +3 more
- 04 Dec 2018
TL;DR: In this article, a seismic reservoir inversion method based on multi-point geological statistics is proposed, where a data template used in the method comprises a template core and 30-50 data modes are randomly selected at each to-be-estimated part as to be-selected data modes.

A New Method to Select Training Images in Multi-Point Geostatistics
Wang Lixin,Yanshu Yin,Wenjie Feng +2 more
- 27 Apr 2018
TL;DR: A new method was presented in this paper to select the training image using the repetition probability distribution of a single data event to characterize the type and stationarity of the sedimentary pattern in the training picture.
