Observations of PKS 1510-089 indicate the existence of a deep flux minimum with a timescale of ~35 min and an interval of about 336±14 d. A binary black hole system is proposed to be at the nucleus of this object. The secondary black hole orbits around the primary black hole. The minimum is caused by the periodic eclipse of the primary black hole by the secondary black hole. Based on the observations of PKS 1510-089, we estimate the parameters of the binary black hole system. The masses for the primary and secondary black holes are 1.37×109M⊙(M⊙ is the solar mass) and 1.37×107M⊙, and the major axis for this pair being about 0.1 parsec(pc).

In this paper, we discuss the coefficients of Gravitational waveform due to eccentric binaries periastron advance with evolved eccentricity. For the basic harmonic modes (n ≤ 5), the frequency split and corresponding relative strengths in the spectrum are figured out. Taking the well known binary systems PSRB 1913+16 and PSRB 1534+12 as examples, we study the dominant harmonic and its frequency split caused by periastron advance in the spectra, and give an estimation of detectability for PSRB 1913+16 and PSRB 1534+12, which are the promising targets for space observatories of gravitational wave.

Effects from Periastron Advance of Eccentric Binary Stars

Breakdown in the atmosphere is a significant issue limiting the transmission of high-power microwave (HPM). The formed plasma not only shield the incident wave, but also reflect HPM to the source after electron density multiplies. A volume- averaged global model is employed to study the characteristics of the repetitive HPM breakdown in the atmosphere. The susceptibility is analyzed considering the external atmosphere environment. Different repetitive HPM parameters is combined to investigate the cumulative effect on the breakdown phenomena. The simulation results show that a critical point exists, indicating the most sensitive height for breakdown. Among the HPM parameters, the pulse width has the greatest impact on the pulse number, and the HPM frequency has the least impact on the pulse number.

The microcanonical statistics of the Kerr black holes is analyzed. We have set u p an inequality in the microcanonical density for both continuous spectrum and d iscrete spectrum, and have verified that Kerr black holes obey the statistical b ootstrap condition. It is then used to show that the most probable configuration in the gases of Kerr black holes is that one black hole acquires all of the mas s and all of the rotation at the high-energy limit, so rotation does not break t he bootstrap property.
