The invention discloses a uric acid electrochemical sensor and application thereof. The uric acid electrochemical sensor comprises a three-electrode system that consists of an electrochemical-active-material-modified glassy carbon electrode serving as a working electrode, a saturated calomel electrode serving as a reference electrode and platinum serving as a counter electrode. The electrochemical-active-material-modified glassy carbon electrode comprises a glassy carbon electrode and an electrochemical active material packaging the outside of the glassy carbon electrode; and the composition and the structure of the electrochemical active material are as follows: gold nanoparticles and cobalt nanoparticles are embedded into a hollow nanopore carbon skeleton. The uric acid electrochemical sensor disclosed by the invention is applied to electrochemical determination of the content of uric acid in a sample. According to the invention, the sensitivity and the anti-interference capability of the electrochemical sensor are improved, and high-sensitivity, low-detection limit and low-cost uric acid detection is realized.
