TL;DR: Considering the latent change of water vapor, the temperature distribution and heat transfer efficiency of a straight rectangular fin were solved out with SOR (successive over-relax) method in the condition that the temperature function could not be obtained from the heat transfer equation with applying the psychometric correlation of an air-water vapor mixture by Hyland, and the optimum dimensionless fin thickness was solved out through Fibonacci method as discussed by the authors.
