Various materials and transduction mechanisms have the ability to convert vibratory energy to useful electrical energy, such as piezoelectric, electromagnetic, and electrostatic generators. Piezoelectric transducers, with their inherent electromechanical coupling and high power density compared to electromagnetic and electrostatic transducers, have been widely explored to generate power from vibration energy sources. A topical review of piezoelectric energy harvesting methods was carried out and published in this journal by the authors in 2007. Since 2007, countless researchers have introduced novel materials, transduction mechanisms, electrical circuits, and analytical models to improve various aspects of piezoelectric energy harvesting devices. Additionally, many researchers have also reported novel applications of piezoelectric energy harvesting technology in the past decade. While the body of literature in the field of piezoelectric energy harvesting has grown significantly since 2007, this paper presents an update to the authors' previous review paper by summarizing the notable developments in the field of piezoelectric energy harvesting through the past decade.

This article presents the techniques for the synthesis of oxygen-free graphene for doped in titanium dioxide TiO 2 . This work hypothesised the introduction of a new method for incorporating graphene nanoplatelets GNP in Anatase TiO 2 using adhesive nanocomposite material, which has been done to enhance the conductivity of the nanocomposite. This work also argues with lamina problems in Graphene oxide, which reduce electron mobility and cause the electron pathways to be rerouted. The characteristics of the nanocomposite measure the colour difference, the photocurrent-voltage measurement (I-V measurement), Raman Spectroscopy, and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy EDS. Simple visual observation results for various thin films show a colour shade difference due to the better dispersion of the nanocomposites. The uniform colour change with different weight ratios can also show the distribution of graphene sheets. Similarly, similar ratios to photocurrent-voltage readings were obtained by the different nanocomposite weights in I-V measurement. The Raman spectroscopy also recognises the existence of well-composed 2D energy band GNP sheets cooperated inside the TiO 2 . Finally, the work concludes with the reduction of the oxygen in weight ratios atomic, which lead to a better atomic level and the optimal weight ratio of GNP sheets to Titanium to increase the free mobility of electrons.

This paper proposes a fundamental study and detailed investigation about the insole touch area of plantar pressure to be considered as a reference measurement for all researchers that study any location over the insole area. A 101 pressure sensor positions, that number represents the most covered area of the insole, these 101 locations were investigated in this work to find out the variation limits for each individual point. A different gain conditioning circuits based on the supply op-amp has been used to measure the output of the sensors to fulfill sufficient accuracy. The measurements have been carried out on one size foot, but with persons have different weights to prove the proposed method hypothesis. It is found that more than 80% of the measured points were different, even for different body weights. The measurements resulted in that maximum applied force, and consequently the mass, not exceed one kilogram, while the minimum approach to a few grams. The verification of the hypothesis is satisfied when the accumulation of all points, in terms of mass, results in “Total body weight/242%”.

Review of Gravitational Electric Energy and Application Perspectives on Modern Buildings

Gravitation energy harvesting of climbed down objects is a promise to harvest unused potential energy from a host building or structure. Similarly, a dynamically dropper mechanism is proved to be a simple and effective electric energy generator, with many practical implementations in power, civil, and mechanical engineering. This research analyzes the prospect of using a mechanism which tends to be near to the elevator structure, but without the counterweight for all possible energy harvesting. To achieve this aim, a dropper structure is supplemented with a new energy storage charging system for both the main kinetic and braking energy harvesting. A prototype of a scaled down system has been built and assumed that the original structure is a one level parking building and all the parked vehicles has a potential energy due to their climbed down to get out, which in turn is harvested by means of a DC generator. The primary goal is to maintain the control process for both; the speed and position by applying equivalent electric load to achieve maximum possible harvest energy from the host structure. Matching voltage and brake generative strategies is used to perform the energy harvesting concept. A polynomial modeling equation have been derived to form expressions of the attained power rate. The maximum power point (MPP) of the system has been extracted to highlight the optimization of system performance.

Doctors and clinicians rely on accurate underfoot pressure data to perform diagnosis of foot diseases. In sole pressure measurement systems are designed to provide such data but its implementation suffers from certain constraints such as the need for a spacer to be placed on the sensor when taking measurements and the need for multiple calibrations due to the fact that the sensor parameters tend to change without it. In this work, we proposed an optimization technique to address these limitations. The results obtained from testing indicate that the proposed device performed measurement of plantar pressure effectively. Also, the calculation of body weight using the proposed optimization technique is improved from 5.07% to 9.06%. For validation, the results are compared with the measurements from a commercial plantar pressure device (EMED system) as benchmark.
