Abstract : A study is reported of the variations in organizational commitment and job satisfaction, as related to subsequent turnover in a sample of recently-employed psychiatric technician trainees. A longitudinal study was made across a 10 1/2 month period, with attitude measures collected at four points in time. For this sample, job satisfaction measures appeared better able to differentiate future stayers from leavers in the earliest phase of the study. With the passage of time, organizational commitment measures proved to be a better predictor of turnover, and job satisfaction failed to predict turnover. The findings are discussed in the light of other related studies, and possible explanations are examined. (Modified author abstract)

Checkland's soft systems methodology is adapted to investigate
and suggest improvements to personnel management in Kuwait
libraries. An initial study investigating relevant elements
of personnel management in Kuwait, such as motivation,
communication, etc., was conducted primarily by interviewing.
A model was constructed on this basis to deduce relevant
important issues, such as library services and motivation of
library staff. These issues were further investigated in a
second survey again primarily by interviewing. Because of the
Gulf War, a third interview survey then took place to update
data and to identify important changes regarding library
management.
Four activity-based models were then constructed to determine
factors relating to the improvement of personnel management in
Kuwait libraries and as guides for data analysis, as follows: a system of increasing the supply of competent
information workers; a system to enhance communication inside and outside the
library; a system which meets users' needs and encourages the use
of the library; a system to enhance staff motivation.
The conclusion examines possible solutions regarding personnel
management problems in Kuwait libraries. In addition, the
value of Checkland's soft systems methodology for this kind of
analysis is examined.

Personnel management practices in Kuwait libraries

The motivation for this study is driven by the inconsistent findings in the literature concerning the relationship between the variables related to employee engagement. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of a five-factor model of personality consists of extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, openness to
experience, and neuroticism factors on employee engagement. Further, it examines the mediation role of psychological safety on the relationship between
transformational leadership and employee engagement. Accordingly, this study is underpinned by self-determination theory to explain the network of the relationship between the variables in the conceptual framework. The study utilized a survey questionnaire which was distributed to 608 employees of private companies in Southern Thailand. Out of the 422 returned questionnaires, 402 were usable for further analysis. PLS-SEM was used to analyze the direct and indirect relationship between the related variables in the study. Of the five personality factors, three which are extraversion, conscientiousness, and openness to experience factors influence the employee engagement. However agreeableness and neuroticism factors do not influence employee engagement. Transformational leadership is discovered to have both direct and indirect influence on the employee
engagement. The psychological safety also shows to have an influence on the employee engagement. In addition, the psychological safety constructs is discovered to be a partial mediator in the relationship between the transformational leadership and the employee engagement. The results of the predictive power of the structural model is 0.337 indicating that 33.7% of the variance in the employee engagement construct is explained by the five-factor model of personality, transformational
leadership and psychological safety. Theoretical, practical and methodological implications of the study are highlighted. Finally, limitations and further research are also discussed in this paper

The Effects of Transformational Behaviours and Interpersonal Skills of Leadership on Organisational Citizenship Behaviour: Trust in the Leader as a Mediator in Libyan Commercial Banks

The purpose of this paper is to examine the effect of self-efficacy and organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) on the knowledge-sharing behavior of minimarket employees. This behavior is needed so that minimarket employees can cooperate with colleagues, solve work problems, develop new ideas, and implement policies or procedures effectively and efficiently. However, research that focuses on retail business in minimarket format is still rarely done. This research is based on a survey of 151 minimarket personnel in Sarijadi Village and surrounding areas, employed incidental sampling. Multiple regression is used to test the hypothesis. The result of the regression analysis indicated that self-efficacy and OCB significantly independently and jointly predicted knowledge-sharing behavior. These findings imply that self-efficacy and OCB played important roles in knowledge-sharing behavior in the minimarket.

Building Knowledge Sharing Through Self-Efficacy and Organizational Citizenship Behavior

A questionnaire survey based Study was conduct on Pakistani medical doctors to investigate relationship between their personality (Big five Model) and Organizational Citizenship behavior (OCB). It is evident from results that there exists strong relationship between OCB and personality factors like neuroticism affects negatively and significantly almost all levels of OCB i.e. OCBT, OCBI and OCBO. Similarly conscientiousness positively contributes in almost all levels of OCB and especially in Task OCB (OCBT) its influence is very significant.
