Copper-Mediated Late-stage Radiofluorination: Five Years of Impact on Pre-clinical and Clinical PET Imaging.
Jay S. Wright,Tanpreet Kaur,Sean Preshlock,Sean S. Tanzey,Wade Winton,Liam S. Sharninghausen,Nicholas Wiesner,Allen F. Brooks,Melanie S. Sanford,Peter J. H. Scott +9 more
TL;DR: Examination of proof-of-concept, preclinical, and in-human imaging studies of new and established imaging agents containing aromatic C– 18 F bonds synthesized with CMRF finds it has significantly expanded the chemical space accessible to fluorine-18 radiolabeling with production methods that can meet the regulatory requirements for use in Nuclear Medicine.

NHC-Copper Mediated Ligand-Directed Radiofluorination of Aryl Halides.
Liam S. Sharninghausen,Allen F. Brooks,Wade Winton,Katarina J. Makaravage,Peter J. H. Scott,Melanie S. Sanford +5 more
TL;DR: An aryl halide radiofluorination reaction in which the C(sp2)-18F bond is formed via a copper-mediated pathway is described, which is applied to the radio fluorination of electronically diverse aryL halide derivatives, including the bioactive molecules vismodegib and PH-089.

Ring opening of epoxides with [18F]FeF species to produce [18F]fluorohydrin PET imaging agents
Stefan Verhoog,Allen F. Brooks,Wade Winton,Benjamin L. Viglianti,Benjamin L. Viglianti,Melanie S. Sanford,Peter Scott +6 more
TL;DR: This easily automated one-pot procedure produces sterically hindered fluorohydrin PET imaging agents in good yields and high molar activities.

Futureproofing [18F]Fludeoxyglucose manufacture at an Academic Medical Center
Alexandra R. Sowa,Isaac M. Jackson,Timothy J. Desmond,Jeremiah Alicea,Anthony J Mufarreh,Jonathan M. Pham,Jenelle Stauff,Wade Winton,Maria V. Fawaz,Bradford D. Henderson,Brian G. Hockley,Virginia E. Rogers,Robert A. Koeppe,Peter Scott +13 more
TL;DR: The combination of FASTlab 2 and self-shielded Nb fluorine-18 targets have improved the yield of FDG, and enabled reliable and repeatable manufacture of the radiotracer for clinical use.
Copper-Mediated Radiocyanation of Unprotected Amino Acids and Peptides.
Liam S. Sharninghausen,Sean M. Preshlock,Stephen T. Joy,Mami Horikawa,Xia Shao,Wade Winton,Jenelle Stauff,Tanpreet Kaur,Robert A. Koeppe,Anna K. Mapp,Peter J. H. Scott,Melanie S. Sanford +11 more
TL;DR: Preliminary evidence is provided that nociceptin crosses the blood-brain barrier and shows uptake across all brain regions (SUV > 1 at 60 min post injection), consistent with the known distribution of NOP receptors in the rhesus brain.
