The thermal decomposition of simple carbonate esters
Jtd Cross,R. Hunter,VR Stimson +2 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors showed that at temperatures up to 390o, the carbon dioxide and alcohol decompose at similar rates with E (kJ mol-1) 182.6, 182.0, 181.0 and log A (s-1), 11.72, 13.06, 11.89 and 11.97, respectively.

The thermal decomposition of n-propyl bromide
Jtd Cross,VR Stimson +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that n-propyl bromide decomposition as a 312-order reaction is unsatisfactory, and the reaction has been reinvestigated, and two reactions occur simultaneously: (a) a first order reaction identifiable with the maximally inhibited reaction and presumably molecular; (b) a reaction second order in the initial concentration and somewhat autocatalysed as the reaction proceeds.

The thermal decomposition of simple carbonate esters
Jtd Cross,R. Hunter,VR Stimson +2 more
TL;DR: In this paper, ahnlichen Geschwindigkeiten zu CO2, Alken, and Alkohol were found in Athyl-methyl-, Diathyl-, Athylpropyl-, Dipropyl-carbonat zwischen 300-400°C.

Catalysis by hydrogen halides in the gas phase. XIV. Methyl trimethylacetate and hydrogen bromide and the effects of added alcohols
Jtd Cross,VR Stimson +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, hydrogen bromide and hydrogen chloride catalyse the decomposition of methyl trimethylacetate into isobutene, carbon monoxide, and methanol at 370-442o and 450-48Oo, respectively.
