Beam-beam compensation in Tevatron: status report
Vladimir Shiltsev,G. Kuznetsov,N. Solyak,D. Wildman,X.L. Zhang,Y. Alexahin,Kip Bishofberger +6 more
- 12 Jul 2001
TL;DR: The first beam-beam compensation (BBC) experiment in the Tevatron using electron beams has passed a successful first step in experimental studies as discussed by the authors, and the first TEL has been installed in the TEvatron, commissioned, and demonstrated the theoretically predicted shift of betatron frequencies of a high energy proton beam due to a high current low energy electron beam.
Ambient betatron motion and its excitation by ghost lines in Tevatron
TL;DR: In this article, the transverse betatron motion of the Tevatron proton beam is measured and analyzed, and it is shown that the motion is coherent and excited by external sources of unknown origins.

Commissioning and first results from channeling radiation at fast
Aliaksei Halavanau,D. Mihalcea,Daniel Broemmelsiek,Dean Edstrom,Tanaji Sen,Alexander Romanov,J. Ruan,Vladimir Shiltsev,P. Kobak,W. Rush,J. Hyun +10 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors presented the simulated X-ray spectra including the background bremsstrahlung contribution, and a description of the required optimization of the relevant electron-beam parameters necessary to maximize the brilliance of the resulting Xray beam.

Electron beam system of the Tevatron Electron Lens
N. Solyak,G. Kuznetsov,Vladimir Shiltsev,Kip Bishofberger +3 more
- 18 Jun 2001
TL;DR: In this article, the first series of studies demonstrated a good agreement of the tuneshift of 980 GeV protons with theory, and the electron beam system of the TEL, which includes vacuum system, electron gun, collector, ion and secondary electron cleaning electrodes, beam diagnostics (BPMs, current monitors, scrapers, wire scanner).
Test Results of the Magnetic System for the Tevatron Electron Lens

TL;DR: The magnetic system of the Tevatron Electron Lens (TEL) was manufactured by IHEP and successfully tested in Fermilab as mentioned in this paper, where the system consists of seven super conducting and four conventional magnets and provides solenoidal field to focus an electron beam, which collides with antiproton beam and, thus, compensates beam-beam effects in the TEL.
