Preparation of covalent triazine frameworks with imidazolium cations embedded in basic sites and their application for CO2 capture
KwangHo Park,Kwangyeol Lee,Hyunuk Kim,Vinothkumar Ganesan,Kanghee Cho,Soon Kwan Jeong,Sungho Yoon +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the 1,3-bis(pyridyl) imidazolium-based CTFs (bpim-CTFs) have been prepared via incorporation of an imidazi motif into the monomer, which resulted in high functionalization of the frameworks.

Hyper-Cross-Linked Porous Porphyrin Aluminum(III) Tetracarbonylcobaltate as a Highly Active Heterogeneous Bimetallic Catalyst for the Ring-Expansion Carbonylation of Epoxides.
Vinothkumar Ganesan,Sungho Yoon +1 more
TL;DR: A heterogenized porous porphyrin Al(III) tetracarbonylcobaltate bimetallic catalyst for the ring-expansion carbonylation of epoxides with excellent site time yield, which is comparable to that of the corresponding homogeneous catalysts and is the highest of any heterogeneous catalyst reported so far for this reaction.

Balancing between Heterogeneity and Reactivity in Porphyrin Chromium-Cobaltate Catalyzed Ring Expansion Carbonylation of Epoxide into β-Lactone
TL;DR: Heterogenization of homogeneous catalyst for lactone production from epoxide carbonylation through a facile polymerization using Friedel-Crafts reaction is reported.

A Covalent Triazine Framework, Functionalized with Ir/N-Heterocyclic Carbene Sites, for the Efficient Hydrogenation of CO2 to Formate
Gunniya Hariyanandam Gunasekar,KwangHo Park,Vinothkumar Ganesan,Kwangyeol Lee,Nak-Kyoon Kim,Kwang-Deog Jung,Sungho Yoon +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a covalent triazine framework with an Ir(III)-N-heterocyclic carbene complex was synthesized and characterized to have a coordination environment similar to that of its structurally related molecular Ir complex.
