In situ production of high purity noble metal nanoparticles on fumed silica and catalytic activity towards 2-nitrophenol reduction
TL;DR: In-situ synthesis of chemically pure noble metal (Au, Pt, Pd, Ru) nanoparticles was performed via redox reaction under ambient conditions from aqueous noble metal salt solutions on nonporous fumed silica as discussed by the authors.

Efficient mercury removal from water by using modified natural zeolites and comparison to commercial adsorbents
TL;DR: In this paper , a natural zeolite was impregnated with silver to derive Ag+, Ag2O and Ag0 forms, which were effectively used for the removal of mercury from Hg(NO3)2 and HgCl2 aqueous solutions.

Effective photochemical treatment of a municipal solid waste landfill leachate.
Ardak Makhatova,Birzhan Mazhit,Yerbol Sarbassov,Kulyash Meiramkulova,Vassilis J. Inglezakis,Vassilis J. Inglezakis,Stavros G. Poulopoulos +6 more
TL;DR: This work aimed at studying the photochemical treatment of a landfill leachate using ultraviolet light, hydrogen peroxide, and ferrous or ferric ions, in a batch recycle photoreactor, and found the photo-Fenton-like process was more advantageous than the photo -Fenton one forLeachate treatment.
Catalytic oxidation of methylene blue by use of natural zeolite-based silver and magnetite nanocomposites
