Socio-economic characteristics and its relationship with informationseeking pattern of dairy farmers in Tamilnadu, India
TL;DR: In this article, the profile of dairy farmers and its association with information dynamics was studied in Tamil Nadu and the results of the study revealed that 76.67 per cent of the respondents belonged to old and middle aged categories, 45.00 per cent belonged to illiterate, 78.33 per cent and 21.83 per cent belonging to nuclear family.

TL;DR: A study was undertaken to assess the adoption level of improved goat rearing practices and the constraints faced in adoption of improved practices among goat farmers in Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu and revealed that high adoption was noticed in feeding colostrum to new born kids.

TL;DR: In this paper, a research on gender in sheep and goat keeping was conducted in Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu to assess gender roles in participation and decision making, which revealed that most of the regular activities in sheep keeping were performed by women while the occasional activities by men, although, women participated to a certain extent.

Management practices followed by goat farmers in Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu
TL;DR: A study was conducted among 140 goat farmers in Namakkal district of Tamil Nadu to ascertain the management practices followed by them and revealed that goats were mostly housed in thatched shed with mud flooring and deworming was done in kids below the age of 3months.
