Purification of soluble tetrodotoxin-sensitive protein from the cytoplasmic fraction of bovine brain tissue
TL;DR: The separated protein was found to be a high-molecular acidic glycoprotein forming 55 kD subunits during denaturation under reducing conditions that was thought to contribute to the formation of voltage-dependent sodium channels in the cell membrane.

TL;DR: It is concluded that the action mechanisms of the L‐protein and α‐latrotoxin are similar and form potential‐dependent and cation‐selective ion channels in BLM, which are blocked by Cd2+.

Integration of soluble tetrodotoxin-sensitive brain proteins with liposomal membranes
TL;DR: Tetrodotoxin-sensitive proteins were shown to be incorporated in an orderly transmembrane manner into liposomes of a particular chemical composition (phosphatidylcholine-phosph atidylserine-cholesterol, brain phospholipids-ch cholesterol).

Probing the structure-function relationship of α-latrotoxin-formed channels with antibodies and pronase
TL;DR: Findings are interpreted as evidence that alpha-latrotoxin channel has protruding parts on both sides of the membrane and that its conformation in the membrane depends on membrane potential.

[Integration of soluble tetrodotoxin-sensitive brain proteins into membrane liposomes].
TL;DR: It was shown that transmembrane orientated insertion of TTX-sensitive proteins into liposomes depends on chemical composition of their lipids.
